said this morning on Chris Wallace that the chances of children getting sick from coronavirus is about a thousand times less than for older adults, so its best for them to be in school "in communities that are managing the coronavirus well."  He conceded that there is great variation in the effectiveness of individual cities and communities in managing the pandemic in  their locale.  He said the most disturbing thing is that all states are not on the same page as far as reopening schools, and so its creating a lot of misinformation for parents.  His recommendation is that all schools reopen when scheduled, but some communities will have to step up their protocols to protect older teachers and grandparents who may live the same place as the children.

Netanyahoo had been one of the world’s first leaders to put the country in an early, tough lockdown.  Israel was doing vigorous contact tracing.  People who had been in contact with someone who tested positive were ordered to quarantine.  The gov't tracked them on their cell phones and if they broke quarantine, they were texted to go back home.  If they didn't, they were subject to arrest.

Israel quickly flattened the curve and greatly reduced Covid cases and deaths.  In May, numbers were low enough to  reopen the schools.  At first they tried a slow, careful return to the classroom.

For the first few weeks, school openings were done cautiously and gradually.  But a combination of arrogance, impatience, bureaucracy and Trump-like complaints about impracticality and expense led to hasty decisions to send all of the country’s schoolchildren back to classrooms.

By the beginning of June, Israel – which is about the size of New Jersey – saw outbreaks occur in over 50 schools, despite attempts to maintain social distancing and minimize mixing between students in various classes and grades.  Tracing found that infected teachers who taught multiple classes infected students in each class.   As a result, hundreds of teachers and thousands of students were exposed to the virus and spread it to family members at home and beyond, contributing to the resurgence of infections in the general Israeli population.

Now, sections of the economy have been shut down again and Covid cases have soared to 1,500 a day from less than 50 a day two months ago.

But as GaG would say:  Meh, what the fuck do Israelis know; they're just a bunch of fucking kikes.

See the problem is that he's the "Former" head of the CDC. Doesn't mean jack shit. We should be listening and taking the game plan from our CURRENT head of the CDC. But as we know now, this current CDC has been compromised and is spiraling into irrelevancy. This is why there's so much confusion by state. there's no guidance, no leadership no nada.
If this former head of the CDC was so good, he'd be the current CDC head. Or maybe we just suck at the top.

who was the "former" head of the CDC, NOT the current one.  I thought I made that clear, so the WH has no sway over his opinion.  Was this a failed deflection on your part, or just a fail in reading comprehension?  Either way, you don't look too bright.

Trump "guided" the DoD to select his donor's company, Fisher Sand and Gravel, to receive a $1.3 B contract to build 42 miles of border wall in AZ. When Fisher didn't win an earlier contract, Trump intervened on their behalf and, upon reconsideration, they got a $400 M contract for border wall.
.

Trump’s preferred construction firm lands $1.3 billion border wall contract, the biggest so far
.
"Fisher’s first and only other major border contract, for $400 million, is under review by the Defense Department inspector general after Democratic lawmakers raised concerns about improper White House influence on the procurement process. The inspector general’s office confirmed Tuesday that the audit is ongoing."
.
Everybody has heard that Trump, the construction expert, demanded that the wall be painted black to absorb more heat. "Swelling the price tag further was a design change from the president requiring the barrier to be painted black, adding about $1.2 million per mile, according to government contracting estimates obtained this month by The Washington Post. ... The president has told aides that the darker color will absorb more solar radiation and scorch the hands of any would-be border jumpers who try to climb the fence. Engineers say the black paint will increase long-term maintenance costs and will boost the metal’s ability to retain heat by less than 10 percent."

there is no reason to refute it. It is the other parts that you take the liberty on.
I didn’t change the topic - I showed you other considerations.
