Any arguement with any merit always has 2 sides. I like to consider both when possible.

No, there have been no reports of them harming anyone.

Here is a link from Todays Seniors Network.
"Risk of Canadian drugs is doubted,
FDA can't name anyone injured or killed by Canadian drugs"

Joke about Drug safety in case you didn't know, I could have also used Pfizer's Bextra. Point is YES it's BS Bush said he wanted to see if they were safe FOUR YEARS AGO, too.

Hell if he moved that swiftly about Iraq and the WMD's maybe 1100 brave soliders would still be alive today, maybe we wouldn't be BILLIONS of dollars invested in Iraq, and MAYBE he'd win on November 2nd ? Naaaaaa, he's still too much an A-hole to ever "WIN" an election.

Would be for a group to randomly purchase medicine in Canada then run controlled laboratory analysis of those drugs and then compare the results to results from the same type of analysis done on US purchased alternatives.
There is so much at stake in the debate over Canadian drugs that getting unbiased information on the drugs would be difficult.  If the US government is right in it's assessment, then probaly the surest way to drive the point home would be for the FDA to perform the analysis laid out above.

Then decide.

I read an article, telling about a senior VP at Phizer who has come out in favor of the importation of Canadian meds. As you might assume, he's taking considerable flack for his position.

The thrust of the article was, in a nutshell, that Bush's admin is fronting for big pharma, using the safety issue. Since that is their central arguement, I wanted to see if it had any merit. It does'nt seem to.

I don't think you need to do a farflung study to determine this though, injury and wrongful death suit appear when you have a problem. One thing you can rely on, if CAnadian pharma was bad, there would be a lawyer looking to sue them into the ground.

I try not to mix issues and post shit but heck, why not???

Don't you think if Kerry had shown up for a Senate intel meeting once in a while, we would have known SH had no WMD? Instead he and the previous admin helped bolster the lie that lead to the war that lead to these deaths.

Your windsurfin gigilo was derelict in his duty and is just as, if not more, responsible for the mess we're in now.

Now, where's my Vioxx>>>????

All of Canada has 31 million people (about equal to our west coast of CA, OR and WA).  Canada has socialist medicine (hurry up and wait) for everything from hang nail to cancer treatment.  Canada set the price of drugs cause they don't like private companies making money.  Our drug companies said to themselves, ok lets sell the drugs at the mandated prices and break even on some and loose a little on others.  After all, it's only a market of 31 million people.  So the drug company badguys did. Oops, U.S. citizens want the same prices. What do we do now?

PLEASE WAKE UP PEOPLE.  Drug companies have to survive. To survive, they must make a profit.  GUEST WHAT?  95% of all drugs have been developed by private companies. 4% by flunky Universities and 1% by individuals(usually academics working without funding).

Those evil drug companies,  oh never mind. I want this to post so I will shut up.

No I will not shut up.  Maybe the drug companies should not sell their drugs at cost or below cost in canada. Period.
