Wel, I learned something new today that was never taught in school.  According to a census 5 years before the Civil War ended, 28% blacks owned slaves and only 1.4%(white elitists).  This was never taught to me.

It's a fact that there were some people who didn't vote or did vote based on his race. It just makes the person look like an idiot! Vote for the best polices or STFU and don't vote. Nothing I hate worse than misguided, uneducated voters.

Do you think blacks didnt vote for him solely because he's black? it works both ways, I had 2 younger black men I was working with tell me they voted for him and voted for the first time because he's black. I can understand it, but voting solely on race is wrong no matter who the voter is.

Besides what difference does it make what religion he is as long as he is a good human being.                                                                                                                                       As far as Barry Soetoro, He  used the nick name of Barry for a very short period of time in grade school, he never used Soetoro which was his mothers 2nd husband. His half sister, which his mother had with her second husband had the name Soetoro. I know many people who were adopted as older children who changed their name once they were adopted. Howeve, Obama was never adopted by his step father and he never used the name Soetoro.   I am curious.... what are you implying by saying these two names in the maner you did. Let's get to your true underlying inferrences with the use of these names.

I remember Ida Mae that took care of me 40 years ago.  I even went to her funeral as an adult.  And if you will allow me to just make a joke.  It was an afternoon funeral, and told my family I would be home in a couple hrs and it was dark before I got back home.  We celebrated Ida's life!  How come nobody remembers going to school with our president?  And my point is, that I grew up with racism in my town.  But it was not taught in my home.  So you calling me racist or phobic about muslims doesn't work on me.  My home was open to all my classmates, and we built homecoming floats in our garage.

They believe that racism is a one way street that only runs "white against black" they don't realize that racism has existed since the beginning of mankind and extends to Asians being prejudiced against both black and whites. to Serbs hating Croats, to members of one small village in Tahiti hating members of the tribe on the island right next to them.

If anyone thinks that black people can't be every bit as prejudiced as white people and willing to act out on their racism, just try walking the streets of Compton at night. You'll get a whole new idea of racism, if you live long enough at least.

I am not white myself, but I find it the height of hypocrisy that we can have an organization like the NAACP, but if anyone were to start a "national organization of white people" they would be castigated as hate mongering klansmen in disguise, and bird brain would be leading the charge
