Yesterday it was 80 degrees. I have been outside enjoying hiking at some of Arizona’s most beautiful trails. Winter is so very warm in the desert. 🌵 I almost feel bad for others who are 20 degrees and below. I believe traveling more makes me appreciate how gorgeous Arizona is during this time of year.
Flagstaff will get snow if you’re interested. I have always loved that you can drive in AZ to be in the snow. ❄️
I lived in Chandler for a few years after I went on hiatus, taught yoga in Scottsdale and Tempe. When I moved there, I didn't think I'd like the desert but was glad for the lack of cold/snow... ended up falling in love with the weather, sunsets and landscaping!
Yeah this is the time of year we crawl out from under our respective rocks and brag about how beautiful it is here. Then May 31 hits and I am looking for a BIG ass rock to climb under. Lived in Az all my life (and its been a LONG one) and worked outside year round,, after too many decades of that I'm really questioning my sanity. I swear it gets hotter every year!
I will be moving back to San Diego in 2026. As I sit on a plane typing this now heading to SD. I have traveled back and forth for too long & it does not make sense to stay in AZ. My family lives here, so I will always visit & be available upon request.
I was there 2014-2016 and could have the top down on my car all but 2-2.5mo of the year.🤷🏻♀️ Far better trade off than living in Denver or Seattle where there was only 2-2.5mo of the year I could actually put it down and enjoy the fresh air. But driving around is far different than laboring outside...
Though I can assure you that the gents have as much to do with it as I do😇 Yes, I used to live out that way for a few years... and it'd be great to have a profitable reason to come see it again!
I have been in AZ for over 17yrs and hadn't planned on being here this long and was going to move to Hawaii after my last one graduated from high school and then my first grand baby was born and so I have been here and the first few years the heat didn't really bother me but as I have gotten older the heat is crazy hot but the winters I LOVE and why I am still here in AZ. [now 3 g-babies in I guess I am stuck here now and I don't mind]. I figure I can travel a little more now that my kids are grown and they have their own families which is great so I can travel more in the summer when it gets hot but at least Im not in the -75 below windshield back home.. haha
