I have been actively hobbying for a number of years now. I mentioned recently that I was considering a Sugardaddy relationship in 2012.
That is in place with a very nice dancer here in the valley that I have been 'seeing' for about 6 months - it is a first for both of us, and so far is going swimmingly.
My resolution is to make that work through 2012 or at least till the world ends. So for the time being that is my exclusive arrangement. Much safer, much less expensive, much less complicated, very satisfying, a bit perverse since she is younger than some of my (adult)children, with some other benefits that will remain private.
No more hobbying for ol' HalfHour, for now anywhoo. That doesn't preclude occsional fun with one of her coworkers that she might bring over, though.

First off, I'm not sure how this will work out. My new 'best friend' (which is how she refers to me when people ask her in public "are you WITH him???") has never done this this before, ever.
She has no intentions of becoming a provider - she has never even heard that word and knows nothing of the lifestyle. She doesn't have a boyfriend and just got out of a live-in relationship that was not something she liked, but she was in it for the support, because (surprise!) she is a single mom.
It 'fell' into place through a series of event, that seemed to be the right recipe...
But long story short, hundreds and hundreds of hours have been spent in strip clubs over a few years making many stripper friends before this situation came about. (I love strip clubs)
Her view is (quote) "you help me and I help you" Our time together is not "session oriented." It involves going out having a good time and some BDC time. It also involves helping her in a less strucured manner. All of which involves an effort that is more like the relationiships that hobbying avoids. So we'll see.
So far there has been candor, since I have been 100% no judgemental about anything and everything she does. I've helped her by guiding her and "mentoring" her through some legal battles and problems with ex and inlaws, which has built a trust in her of me. But needless to say, that is not what the hobby is about.
She doesn't want to date or to get into a relationship right now. She wants to put her life together and is looking for assistance which is what I'm giving. So MY cost is much more than money.
But to answer your question: Yes we are both tested, she is on birth control and there is no need for condoms use. We've agreed that if either one wants to seek fun elsehwere we have no issues BUT we will resume standard safety practices.
That's one of the reasons the hobbying has ended.
Money wise? Far less than hobby. Headache, hassle, and drama? Well I will let you know.
