she has reviews and when asked if he would write a review after he made an appointment from the info HE RELIED ON TO MAKE HIS CHOICE SAYS THE FOLLOWING, And I quote, No I will not be writing a review. The thing is I do not write reviews for  free anymore. A 9/9 TER review has substantial commercial value - especially the  first three reviews or when there has not been one in a while. Some indys  offer $50 off the next session for q review which I think is very smart. My  price is higher:  $100 off next session;  double if it is a first  review. Of
course, my reviews read better, say what they need to say in the  short opening
summary that everyone sees, etc.

I am sure we know and can all identify the people in most communities that get favors for write fiction. Doing a search is easy and there is always a way to see beyond the hype.

So you have a guy that relies on reviews to see new ladies but then would turn around and write a phony review for others to rely on. ANYTHING WRONG HERE Oh, just to prove how smart he really is? He is not getting his discount until the next session or WILL HE EVEN GET ANOTHER SESSION. HOW STUPID DO YOU SHILLS THINK WE ARE. JUST MY OPINION. STAY WITH WHO YOU TRUST AND LET THE BIG HEAD KEEP YOU FROM HAVING A BAD TIME.

This came to me from an agency so they will not tell me but did turn it over to the Mods in here area. But, I thought it was worthy to post and I would bet as any good reporter can do, there is enough of that right here as well if you dig deep enough. As you say it is not fair to the Ladies mostly becuase we have expectations that really are not on thier menu in many cases which leads to a bad review. All ariund it sucks. I think you need to investigate.I know I would if I had your job, albeit a volunteer but I know how I would go about it. Just my opinion.

before 'outing' anybody which, in most cases, is pretty hard to do since we are not first hand observers of the alledged misdeeds. It sounds from your posts that you are reacting to second hand information (think you said somewhere that you heard this from an agency). No need for unnecessary drama or the impugning of anyone's character or reputation on hear say, speculation or idle gossip. Unfortunately, it quite common for any of us to accept statements at face value when they are brought to us. I have seen too many people get 'hurt' over the years by a 'story' running through the community that wasn't necessary true or accurate.

to be aired in public. Let the accused defend himself and everyone can then make thier own decisions based on availible information.
Anyone who engages in this behavior deserves to be treated like the sleazebag they are.

This man did not threaten anyone with a bad review. No extortion, and no blackmail took place.  Nothing illegal. He simply said that he felt that his reviews had commercial value. He is under no obligation to write ANYTHING he does not want to write.  Is this not true?  If he said "give me a discount, or my review will be bad" then I think we have an extortionist.

I know (again, as usual) this will not be the popular stance here, but I do not think this is an "outable" offence.

But I think the man HAS done something sorely unethical.  The female has no right for any 'payback' (as she is not 'entitled' to any review at all), but if she IS reviewed, she is entitled to an accurate one, and it should not be influenced by discounts or money.  The men should be the ones more upset, as the accuracy of reviews is the paramount concern. Clearly this man is willing to allow himself to be bought.  Outing is the wrong thing to do (actually, trying to leverage his behavior by threat of outing IS a form of illegal extortion). If he has indeed done this, then he should be prevented from writing MORE reviews, as their integrity is always going to be suspect.

I don't think the person in question should be made to defend himself from an unsubstantiated, second-hand allegation.  Sometimes, whether true or not, just the story attached to a person's name can do him damage.  This is unfair if the story is not true.

If all of this did, in fact, occur, I agree that the Hobbyist should be taken to task.  My only concern is that we have substantial, verifiable evidence before we start throwing out accusations that may possibly be damaging to a man's reputation.

I recommend learning the facts before proceeding further against whomever this might be.

that you are better able to discover the facts and truth to these kinds of matters than others on this board? The cloak of darkness (alias) under which you post can give one pause for concern about your credentials for the job; your ready access to a multitude of reliable sources; the potential accuracy of your findings or the veracity of your reporting. Afterall, we have no way of judging your ability to assemble the facts in an honest and fair manner nor do we have anyone to hold accountable should the reports from 'our Roving Reporter' be in error or biased.
