I blew it last night, and I know better, so that's pretty embarrassing. I make it a hard and fast rule never to work with anyone but the agencies I trust and know. Last night, however, it was very late, and I didn't really want to bother any of them so late, and I went to Craigslst.
There I found a provider who wrote an excellent ad about the idea that she thought the term
"GFE" was too cold and clinical, and that she would much rather talk about the relationships she develops with her clients. Her picture was great, and she had several other ads with similar but not the same pictures. I was thinking with the little head and not the big one and I called her.
When I did, I got a message, "You have reached an invalid number. Please check the number and dial again." Ok. That's the way it goes. Seconds later, she called me back.
She seemed nice on the phone, and I arranged for her to come out and see me. When she arrived, she was clearly not the girl in the picture, and that should have told me something, but she was very nice. We talked a bit and I discussed TER with her. I even told her that, unless she asked me not to, I would write her a review. Everything seemed fine. I gave her the donation.
After we talked a bit longer, she said her phone was dying, and she wanted to go charge it in her car. She seemed so nice, so trustworthy, that I thought nothing of it. Obviously, she just drove away.
A full review is coming, but I think it's worth it to point out, once again, that you simply can not be too careful. I know better than to find someone off CL, but sometimes I don't think clearly late at night when I'm in need. This is another reason I should know only to trust those that I already know.
I'm sure many fine ladies are to be found on CL, but when you choose a bad one, it's an awful experience. I hope others can learn something I thought I already had.
