Every time somebody posts or alleges that certain members get discounted rates, NOBODY ever answers it.  They attack the message, or the messenger, but don't answer the question.  They dance around it.

Those of us with no such arrangements are probably entitled to know if recommendations are coming from guys who pay less than the rest of us. How else can we evaluate the writer's opinion?

your question. Of course there are discounts. Every business has them for its regular repeat customers. Is it a lot, normally no. However some guys spend $5,000/month hobbying so I'd guess they get a bit bigger break. And it has nothing to do with posting here, the really high rollers dont bother with this stuff as a general rule.

of the information. I tend to rely on the guys who I know hobby alot and like to see "new blood". You look at the # of gals that Modprod, sumo, muffyman etc see and you realize you can save some dissappointment by not blazing your own trail all the time. You'll notice I'm rarely the "1st guy in", I simply dont have the time and bankroll to absorb the inevitable mistakes. So I tend to trust these guys with regard to where my more meager bankroll goes.

If the information was bad you'd see these guys getting filleted here....and there not. But some folks seem to have a seperate agenda and constantly cast around baseless accusations.

As always I invite anyone here to call me out if you ever have a less then steller experience with anyone I ever "shill" for......

azhacker says most business do give discounts... and I agree, the business here just happens to be agencies - that's the point in trade for the must see, mini reviews and reviews.

However the indy girl will have a special and usually post that the week of the discount they offer...but it is not for a trade in ADVERTISING (and that's where all the fuss is about SHILLING)
nor is it the same hobbyist posting comments.

Imo the information on a public board is useless for anything more than contact info.
The phoenix board on ter is especially rampant with shills and approval seekers. I guess they think if they make enough noise about provider "x" she will like their money more than the next guys.

most indies have similiar breaks for regulars. And the vast majority of those who get "a break" from either an agency or indie dont post here (either on the BBS or reviews). There is very little if any correlation between internet activity and rate.

"shilling" is not really advertising when done right. Feel free to go back thru my posts. You'll see a healthy mix of agency and indie with no real favoritism.

What we seem to have here is a very well orchastrated "anti agency" campaign centered around a few people supported by themselfs under alias.

Obviously some folks are feeling threatened....

Your question regarding discounts is a great one to be asking on here, but many people know how things work in AZ lately and know not to speak up much cause of how things are being done.  
I, myself, being an independent here in AZ for 4 years and having been an agency girl for 2, know the valley and the industry pretty well...
I personally will give all my regular clients discounts and will offer to work with them on whatever budget they have if they are wanting to see me more than once a month.  I have many repeats that love seeing me but cannot afford to see me 3 times a month at a certain rate, so since i know them, I know they are respectful of me, and I know they are kind and sincere when with me....I will hook them up...no problem.

As for agencies, sure you will get your regular clients that call ALL the time or call once a week or so...and the agency owners and gals generally get to know them well and offer them discounts cause they know they are spending their money at one place instead of risking losing that client to another agency or independent that will give them a break.

These types of discounts happen all the time...
However lately in the past year, there have been other discounts, actually more forced upon discounts...certain groups have gotten together and because they have been in the hobby for a long time and they are all friends or acquiantences, they feel that they all deserve to tell the girls they want to see that they will only see them at a certain rate.  There are ladies that go along with this forced discount because they fear they will lose business if they dont...and there are girls that wont give in to the discounts....I myself, have no problem honoring someone who has been in the hobby for a while and has plenty of reputable references a discount such as this, but its when they feel they need to force the discount issue and pressure you into seeing them for that rate or they will tell all their friends you ripped them off and wouldnt give them the rate....I find this offensive, rude, and totally childish.  You are asking someone to discount their time and their personal life in some way....for a service that cannot just be provided by just anyone...or we wouldnt be here today.
So, in response to your question about discounts...it just depends on whether you are in the respectful group or the disrespectful group...with me anyways....

on this. This is a business very similiar to any other type of service or consulting practice. There is a cost involved in aqquiring a customer. There is also a "cost of time" in verifying that customer (true in any service business). Any new customer is both a great potental reward....and a possible new nightmare. So all consultants tend to work hard to keep quality customers as far as is practical. They also tend to cultivate clients that are active in the professional comminity they service that tend to recommend quality consultants.

I think you hit the real problem here in your comments. The consultancy controls the discount and administers it as they see fit. Your comments articulate a very clear fair and respectful stance on the issue. Someone who tries to bully there way in across the grain will breed resentment on all sides.

It's hard for me to believe anyone can be "in the game" for any period of time and not figure out the rules. To me this is simply another smoke screen trying to hide baseless attacks by a few.....

I have had many discussions about this with indies, agencies and other hobbyists and this is my take.  Everyone's deal should stand on there own merit.  If you are a decent respectful person with integrity and you treat people as you wish to be treated than everything works the way it should.  If you are an active hobbyist and the community knows this than you will get what you deserve.  If you are an asshole you also will get what you deserve.  As far as providers giving discounts, I think it is obvious that the more you play the less you pay, at least with the girls who are enjoying what they do. However this being said, I found that it is difficult as an active hobbyist to get people I have not seen to understand this.  Conversely the provider is unlikely to give the discount because of the notorious 'see em once and never again' thinking that many of the hobbyists have.  I have been one that has always enjoyed variety but I have certain indies who I will always see and certain agencies I will always trust because they are fair with me and I am truthful with them and the rest of the community.  Its just like any other business, sizzle and performance are what counts and I must say there are some great assssetts here in town with amazing skills that give an awesome performance.
