The Legacy is another excellent choice that won't be as pricey as those mentioned. -e-

Ok - forget the hobby for a minute. I’ll be in town mid June for about a week.

Now I know it will be like 100F or more outside but I am bringing my clubs and want to play 3-4 rounds.

What are the not-to-be-missed courses?

Welcome to Arizona,
Troon North, The Boulders, Southern Dunes, Talking Stick resort, TPC Scottsdale, We KO PA resort, Grayhawk
It will after June 1st so rates will be lower,
Pro Tip, Don't smoke cigars and don't drink booze in the heat. You will pass out and your foursome will leave you behind
Drink water after every shot and wear a big hat.
If you play mid morning the courses will be more empty, all the old guys play first thing and the place is empty by 11am noon or so
  Have fun

I get one free round that I can expense and I was told it doesn’t matter where.

So if price is no concern, where would you go?

Haven’t checked the boards in a while and just saw this. If you haven’t ended your trip here in the land of the sun, I’d be glad to have you play a round with me. Check out Blackstone Country Club in Peoria. Pretty nice track.

Due to work and the heat, I only managed 2 rounds.

Troon North was incredible - tight fairways were definitely a challenge but I did find some birdies on a few of the par 3’s. I was disappointed in the pace of play as the round extended more than 4.5 hours.

Also played the Faldo course at The Marriot Desert Ridge. Large fairways made it a bit easier to score but also less interesting. Pace of play was great as no one was playing in the 118F heat except me.

I really want to return in the Fall when temps cool down and play at 3 or 4 other courses.

Maybe even do some hobbying this time lol.

Thanks for all the suggestions- hit ‘em straight!!
