4300 N. Central Ave.

New Times voted it Best Old-School Chinese Restaurant, and the bar got Best Place to Meet and Illicit Lover!  Presuming your connoisser isn't Uncle Bob from Des Moines, I'd say it just might be perfect!!

Great service, great lunch menu, and beautiful aquariums built into the walls everywhere.  I used to go to the one on 17th ave & Camelback all the time, and I heard there's one somewhere on Central too.
*edited to add Great Mai Tais too!!

Biltmore Fashion Park, on Mill in Tempe, are my favorites. The entire menu is fabulous. Sort of like your menu...

A local Chinese food favorite for over 22 years, Autumn Court has recently relocated to the Arcadia area. Among customer picks are the delicious orange peel chicken, Peking duck, and an egg plant stir-fry.

Traditional Chinatown specialties, such as chow fun (thick rice noodles), are excellent here. Try the assorted-meat version, topped with chicken, shrimp, pork, and squid. Lobster with black-bean sauce may be the world's messiest platter, but it's also one of the tastiest. Along with an extensive seafood list, such adventurous delights as five-flavor frogs' legs, duck feet with greens, and beef tripe casserole are offered. AE, D, DC, MC, V.

the restaurants in that building always seem to fail.  I hope Autumn Court breaks the curse.
