Hello everyone. Please forgive this newbie for asking dumb questions. I haven't taken the plunge yet to see a provider (due mostly to the fact that almost all the providers I'm interested in require references with some stating explicitly "NO exceptions". I can respect that and won't try to get someone to bend their rules for me. Also, there's been a little bit of nervousness about it on my part but I think I'm ready to come off the fence with the right provider.). I'm not quite sure about a couple things.

1. What are the discussion topics that are considered "off limits" with a provider? I would hate to say or ask something stupid out of naive curiosity that would either upset, or make a provider uncomfortable with me. I've read the newbie guides, but don't recall seeing something that addresses this.

2. Is it ok to start email correspondence with a provider just to get to know them a bit before scheduling an appointment, or do they consider that a waste of their time? I wouldn't want to waste their time or annoy anyone.

Again, please forgive my ignorance. I just figured it's better to ask and risk the flames than to make all the wrong assumptions. Please feel free to email me if you'd like, or reply in this thread. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

On a side note, I just wanted to say that you people crack me up! I've been lurking around here for a few months and fairly recently upgraded to VIP access (wow..it's worth it). I feel like I already know some of you! It seems like a pretty friendly environment for the most part. Thanks for the entertainment haha.

1)Don't ask her personal questions about life outside of the business. If she chooses to tell you, it opens the door. Don't ask her for an exact rundown of what you're going to get, anyone who's good and enjoys this isn't a robot and goes with the flow. (I'm sure others will add to this)

2) Yes! At least from my standpoint, I prefer to get to know someone a little bit beforehand. Takes some of the unknown out of the equation and makes for a better session. (I have a Frequent Flyer Program for that reason, I love seeing guys I already know, it makes for a fantastic time!) (not to say that I don't enjoy meeting new gents too, the times just get better and better!

(Forgive me if I'm wrong, but did you call me?)

Well, Nerdie, I'm willing to bet you're going to be very happy you took the plunge. The PHX area is home to some of the most wonderful women around....beautiful, and fun to be with.

There are ways to see a provider without having references...I was a newbie a fews years ago, we all were at one point. Just remember, be somewhat discreet, treat the ladies with respect, and perhaps let them lead during the first meeting. Being a good customer will enable you to see your choice of fantastic ladies later on. Don't pry into their lives, but be as open as possible with who you are and what you do. The safer they feel, the better time you will have.

Enjoy...you will not regret it.

1. we are all different, some questions are offensive/annoying to some and not to others.  personally, i dont like to be questioned about the who's, how's and whatfor's regarding my biz and i dont like personally identifying questions.

examples:
how do you know if a guy is safe ?
or
what school did you go to ?

2. if her website has an email address (as opposed to just an appt form) then yes, mention you're a newb and that you're not yet comfortable scheduling an appt so she can properly prioritize her emails.

most importantly, read her website. the worst thing a guy can do is tell me he wants to get to know me when its obvious he has never even looked at my website.
