sigh......why not stop the BS

thats seems to keep on keeping on between the indies and agencies. It is getting a bit old...

I can name 5 indies that book just as heavily as any agency gal....and I can name 5 agency gals who take no more than 2 appointments a day.

As for those of you are clueless and subscribe to the "1st appointment of the day"....well you might be or you might not be. The realities are pretty simply....just figure that your somewhere between # 500 and # 2500 on average. The average is probably about 45 sessions a month so the "average" gal see's 550+ clients a yr...and it doesnt matter if they're indie or agency.

You weren't the 1st (or 2nd) and your probably not the last...so get over it.

Who are you? The resident expert who has interviewed/polled all the providers out there statistically to throw these numbers around? You are the one full of BS. You are a jackass to use so many aliases and make all those nonsensical caomments too. You are the one who has twisted provider's arms to ask for discount. Go away...

Be the glass half empty or the glass half full; one thing you can bank on it will contain piss.

I never use an alias without "fessing up" during the thread (I think 3 times total). And I am speaking from personal experience. Like many other things "volume" is a personal choice....not a function of agency vs indie. Yes an agency may pressure a gal to take more calls...and yes "traveling gals" {indie or agency} need to see more clients per day to make the numbers work. Look at the thread below and you have the little indie click piling on...

Well we have a neat group...more than one who takes all the volume she can get...a couple who's "discount rate" would blow your mind...and at least one who must have a lock on the "stevie wonder" segment of the client base.

but I simply can't resist...
QUOTE: "And I am speaking from personal experience."
So you personally see 45 men a month? *smirk*

Me, I have only hearsay to go on, the ladies I am friends with and the small aganecy (5 - 10 ladies working with them) owners I know.  My knowlege comes from what they tell me and what I have seen when either I stay with them or they stay at my house...

The one thing they have all agreed on, is that men always seem to far over-estimate how many clients they see, and how much they earn in a week, a month, a year.  The guys seem to assume the ladies have at least a couple clients a day, and do so at least 5 days a week.

I know agencies (again those small ones I mentioned before) that can have days with no appointments, or days with 2-5 appointments for the day, that is for the agency, not each lady.  I know ladies that go a week or more without an appointment, etc.

The average that Mr Hacker has in his "personal" experience, of 45 a month would be 1.5 clients a day, every single day.  Now, perhaps Phoenix is a weird place, but the ladies I know in Las Vegas, LA, Atlanta, Boston, NYC, many cities in Texas, Hawaii, tampa, etc.  don't get that kind of business, and many (most) of them don't really want it.  Maybe I just know strange ladies, maybe the ladies I know are anomalies in the industry...

Now, I do agree with him that the folly of "first of the day" is pretty much that...you might be first of the day, but do you wonder if she had a overnight right before your new day? *smirk*

I also agree that when on "tour" more appointments are generally taken, both to cover expenses, and to accomodate the clients that may want to see her while she is in their area for a short amount of time.  Many ladies with 2 hour minimumns will offer one hour engagements, and they may see more clients in a day than they would "at home".  A lot of that is based on time and interest.  If a lady has 10 prospective clients that want to see her on a five day tour she may take the two clients a day.  The clients know she is there for a limited time, so they better see her while she is there, she knows she is there for limited time, so if she wants to see the client she has to while she is there.

That tends not to be the case "at home".  There, she most likely isn't getting requests every day multiple times a day, even a popular lady doesn't necessarily get veritable reams of emails in a day to sift through, and of the emails she does get many are looking for cyber-sex, phone-sex, the titillation of emailing with a provider, guys playing games, looking for things she doesn't do, guys that are vulgar, or seem not quite right, or just seem to want to waste her time.  From what ladies tell me, or I see when in their company, a majority of emails and calls don't end in appointments.  The ladies or agencies do spend a lot of time on emails and phone calls but maybe...MAYBE one out of say 10 or 20 will end in a booked appointment...and then sometimes those appointments flake or cancel.

Then there are odd little things like sports, during football season, weekends and Monday nights are terrible for business.  Final Four, bad for business, bad weather days, guys don't want to get out in a monsoon, good weather days after many bad the guys want to go play golf, weekends and summer, winter, spring vacations are time with family, close to tax time bad, after holidays bad, all kinds of things effect the ladies business.

As for the "indie" vs "agency" argument, I maintain it is about the lady, not for whom she works (herself or someone else).  When the door shuts behind you, it is the lady you are with, not an agency, and it is that time, regardless of whom pays for the ads, answers the emails, schedules the appointments...that makes the experience good or bad.

The fact is, most of the ladies in this business are not virgins, you are not the first one there, you are not even the first one there as a client, if the lady takes care of herself, then the idea of early morning appointments and all else is just something clients convince themselves of to limit their "ick" factor...believe whatever you need to, I guess.

Though I do tend to also see this as an assumption that the ladies are themselve a bit "icky", that the client that wants to be first of the day carries an assumption that her legs open at 10:00am and don't shut until 10:00pm. Thet they think the lady doesn't shower, brush her teeth, or gargle, that sleep miraculously gets rid of all "ickiness" from the day before, and it isn't that the lady actually makes efforts to clean herself up after any appointment.  There seems an underlying judgement of the lady in the "first of day" desire, why else would they assume that she is "clean" in the morning, but not any other time of the day...why would they worry about who "was there" earlier that day, but not the day before?

**the above opinions are all based on hearsay and observation, and no "Personal" experience, as I have no personal experience being a provider.

that's why I laughed when I read the post because he is right about the questions sometimes asked of us. Who really cares who does more business? There may be days when I get a client and maybe not. It could be a week before I see someone again, and part of that is by my choice. If I were a guy in the hobby, the first thing I'd have to realize is that the lady I'm going to see might be seeing me and someone else in the same day (unless specifically mentioned by the provider). I know I don't see more than one client per day unless I am traveling, and then it would be no more than two a day.

And, hello to you guys out there!  What makes you think that a day between appointments makes any difference? We still shower. So who cares if it's in the same day or the next day. A shower is a shower. Gees! Wink!

Hugs,
Ciara
