Hi AZartguy! From what I can gather, there aren't showtimes, per se. They will have various viewing rooms by category (Documentary, Cartoon, etc) and the films will be running continuously. I've emailed the festival to see if I can get an approximate time for American Courtesans. I'll be sure to post it when I receive a response!

The documentary, American Courtesans, has been selected for the Bloody Hero Film Festival. Screenings will be held at the Phoenix Center for the Arts, 1202 N 3rd Street Phoenix AZ 85004 on February 8th, 9th, and 10th.
This is a film about sex work by sex workers! It will likely be the most accurate portrayal of our lifestyle available today.
From what I understand, Kristin DiAngelo, the woman producing the film, is hoping to distribute it to universities for use in their women's studies programs as well as having it shown in various film festivals.

Anyway, I stumbled across this doc after chatting with a friend who had seen it. I didn't expect it would be showing locally.
I have heard it is certainly worth seeing, maybe somewhat slanted - but honest... if somewhat 'hard' to watch. Would be great to see with a group and discuss after.

I received an email from the festival. They said that American Courtesans will be showing on Friday February 8th at 11:15am and on Sunday February 10th at 11:30am.
Would love to attend as part of of a group - not sure about Sunday - weekdays are easier for me, so Friday show is optimal... but it's enough notice, Sunday could work.
And, lots of good places for lunch or coffee near by for that group discussion.
