Absolutely it matters to me!

I spend quite a bit of time (usually, unless I'm rushed)
picking out the right music and making a playlist for
dates. I have pretty esoteric tastes and nearly all the
CD's I've bought in the past 3 or so years have been
various flavors of techno (either trance or chillout)
imported from Europe, often pretty exotic stuff. (And
if my regular date reads this, she's going to know who
it is and be surprised as hell I'm posting...)

It depends on the mood, if I think things are going
to be a bit energetic, I pick something with an
uptempo beat that's closer to techno dance music,
and if it's going to be a delicious, lingering
session with a lot of pillow talk in the downtime,
then I go far more chillout.

I've done a bit of Jazz as you can do something
similar. Really can't imagine classical, even
though I have an adequate collection. I'd end up
rolling on the floor cracking up if things were
getting hot and Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries
came up on, it just would seem WAY over the top.

Starting off with
           Back in the Saddle Again
and finishing with
           Pop Goes the Weasel

He he he he

Mya sweety anything with you naked and smiling is music to my eyes. Your laughter is music to my ears.  However a little Jazz or Enigma in background would only enhance the moment.

I love music by Kenny G in the background nothing sexier then a great sax player.

But then I've been known to rock to Kasmir by Led Zeplin

I LOVE playing The Cure.  I have a pretty big assortment of other tunes that I like to play - if I even get a chance to put music on.  Usually I'm too excited about the session that it just slips my mind & I end up making my own music. Some others: Neil Young, Lou Reed or Velvet Underground, Norah Jones & Diana Krall.  Verrry sexy.

Nora Jones, Annie Lennox, Enya, Sade, soft sexy female vocals.  Sometimes gentle new wave.

I don't think anyone would appreciate the music that crawls inside me and makes me get all into it (in a very good way)

Disturbed
Creed
The Used
Prong
Nine Inch Nails
Echo & The Bunnymen
Mudhoney
Nickelback
Saliva

just to name a few.

Music really helps set the tone of the session. I prefer jazz (real jazz, not the lightweight stuff) and classical.

Being a former music major, I feel that music always MAKES the mood....candeles, music, nice sexy lingerie, and a big smile on my face!
My favorites include....but not limited to...
Norah Jones, Josh Groban, Sarah M (the trance remixes), Delirim, Classical German composers (Mahler, Bach, etc.), piano classical, santana (the earlier stuff), and much more.

Any recommendations from the guys??  I love classic rock as well, but not sure if that would be appropriate for sessions.

Kisses....
Madison

I always like the Moody Blues, especially Nights in White Satin.

Being the Grateful Dead fan that I am you can't go wrong with "Sunrise" and "Terrapin Station".

I also like Madonna's "Justify My Love"....I really like that.
