Try TPC,,,JW can get you on at this time of the year. The Desert course is not bad either. You also can try Rancho Manana, Grayhawk, Kierland is not bad and it is close.  Wildfire is close and from what I have heard it is a course that Tiger was invloved in. As far as women....Mya is a great place to start....she is a very sweet person, but you may not go further once you are under her spell. Victoria is also a very classy choice. Then go to Carefree and go to Bodega Tapias bar in the spanish villiage....great for wine and tapias and of course atmosphere.

I am going to be staying at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in August..

How far from downtown Phoenix is it?
How far from the baseball stadium is it?
Is it too far out to expect a provider to do an outcall?
I am planning on playing golf there on the Arnold Palmer coutrse? Is the AP course better than the Faldo? Am I making a mistake because there is another "must play" golf course in the area that I should be playing instead?

Thanks All

I have found the Palmer course to be my favorite of all the valley courses.  Not because it is easy, because it is not.  I am an 18 handicap (no boos please)and this course sets up well for me.  Plus the greens are to die for, you can stick it and what you see on a putt is what you get, they are so true.  Have fun with the golf and the pooning.

...the top-rated (deservedly IMHO) public course is Troon North's Monument, and TN's Pinnacle isn't shabby. The Faldo course is the reason he's done so few courses: phony, tricked up (bunkers in the center of the fairway if you play from the tips), etc. But it's not that tough to score on. The two Grayhawk courses, Raptor and Talon (flip a coin), are superb.IMHO the TPC, site of the PHX Open, doesn't measure up to these courses -- even from the tips.

If you  have any connections here or know a member ,Silverleaf is an amazing course with a great clubhouse and spa . The stonehouse is a great cafe right on the  course stop off and have a nice lunch. Snacks and drinks are free its a wonderful place to spend the whole day.victoria

...well, I can't remember the name of it. But I was telling my friend about it, and how the clubhouse has this big picture window with a great view of the course and the mountains. He asked if I ever shot a hole in one. I told him I was never ever NEAR that window, I swear!!!!!
