There's a link on the MCSO website to write an email to his office and I really think he should hear it. (They actually have the nerve to have a "Sheriff appreciation" topic! LOL)

Here's my email to his office...

Sheriff, focus on the things that the public has made very clear are most important to have stopped like murders, rape, gangs, drugs, domestic violence and all of the many other REAL crimes that ENDANGER and TAKE lives!!!! I know, this would be a whole lot more dangerous to fight because they may shoot at you! It's a whole lot safer and easier (and much more fun) to play "trap the prostitute" because you can get naked, groped and maybe even rubbed if you're lucky! LOL) You forget that you are a servant of the citizens who elected you and that you are there to protect us. I don't feel the least bit threatened by some guy paying a woman for sex. I'm glad that he's getting his needs met without having to go rape someone and she's able to pay her bills and not be on welfare. I'm afraid of all of the unsolved murders going on that I hear we don't have the resources to handle!!! Why on earth would you think that two consenting adults exchanging sex for money is more important to go after than murder????

You say that if a law is on the books it should be enforced. When are you going to enforce the law about possession of more than two dildoes in a household??? I've never heard of you busting anyone for that. How about cutting down cacti? It's a possible 25 year sentence...when ya gonna send a posse out to protect those cacti???? After all, the laws ARE 'on the books' ;o)

When you can read the papers and watch the news and never hear about home invasions, meth labs, beatings, shootings, stabbings, rapes, child abuse or any other violent or life threatening crimes THEN you can waste our money and resources on things that shouldn't be a crime to begin with... like the cacti, dildoes and prostitution.

Your letter is right on but, if you think for one minute Sheriff Joe is going to read it you are fooling yourself.  I wrote on a post two days ago that we had a window of opportunity to slam old Joe in the courts where it counts and only you and Rick 777 responded with a pledge to put up some cash. I don't think this community realizes the chance we have but $300 isn't going to do it.  Write all the letters you want, it makes us feel better, but a good court fight with a lot of public relationships and with a jury that tells Joe what they think is the only way we are going to get anything out of this and I just don't think the interest is here.  That is why we have to worry about LE, becuase we do nothing.

And that is why I'm writing that letter... with copies to Ed Montini and New Times and anywhere else that I find. Here's what I sent to them:

I don't normally do this sort of thing but I am so tired of watching our law enforcement use our tax dollars and valuable resources and time to pursue prostitutes when we're surrounded by violence, theft and drugs. Not a day goes by that somebody's life isn't threatened or taken around us and I just can't believe that our sheriff thinks that it is more important to devote his efforts towards preventing consenting adults from the pleasure of each other just because money is involved. He wouldn't be after these same people if the sex was free. We can sell our blood and we can sell our bodies for research. Why is sex any different?

I won't go on and on about this because I know that he won't listen. (Egomaniacs never do.) He doesn't care about protecting the citizens that elected him. He only cares about what will get his name and face on television and in the papers in the grandest fashion possible. He reminds me of a little child desperate for attention and always saying, "Look at me! Look at me!"

Well Sheriff, I've been looking at you and I am amazed and disappointed at what I have seen. I'll be showing you just how disappointed when it's time to elect a sheriff. I can guarantee that I won't be voting for you.

I run a good, honest, professional massage business in Phoenix and I'm tired of being treated like we're bad and that's why I'm writing all of this. Following is a copy of an email sent to the sheriff's office.

Whether he listens or not is really unimportant to me. I'm hoping that the everyday people out there will listen and think about what is important out there and show him how they feel at election time ;o)

It is obvious to me that the people who make the money need to support the changes.  Where are the big agencies that rake in the cash?

So where is everybody?

do you really think that the sheriff is going to help you? he is the one that busted you by the book. you most likley walk out with a fine, slap on the hand or probation. the lawyer you retain is the key part of this problem that has happened!

The last person I think is here to help anyone but himself is the sheriff! (Try reading the first post here.)

Also, I haven't been busted... EVER. I have no idea where you got that impression either but hopefully you've got it straight now.

I do intend to consult with Mr. Jung about what can be done to make some changes and what we should all know to protect ourselves if we should ever find ourselves in the type of situations that occured last week. Forewarned is forearmed.
