Ah, the sounds programmers make when a deadline is approaching.  Four-letter words spliced together in interesting ways, lots of muttering, lots of "What the f....!"  Short tempers, unshaven faces, mismatched clothes and tired eyes.  Hunched shoulders, sore backs, mussed hair and vacant stares.  Mountain Dew and Jack-in-the-Box and pizza.  Early mornings, late nights, working weekends.

I got home on time tonight.  Yeah, my eyes are red and my shoulders are hunched and my back hurts a bit and I haven't shaved since Friday, but I got out to see the sun and walk in the park and talk to my kid and look forward to my next rendezvous.
