I guess what I have to say may not be the popular sentiment but....

Why the hell couldn't the hotel manager just mind his own f'ing business.  If he was so concerned why couldn't he just ask her to leave and if she refused then let her know he was going to call the police.  I guess that thought never crossed his mind....

Now, for the drug part.  Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Wonder what the manager was doing looking thru Craigslist?

1.  Yes, what was the manager doing surfing CL under exotic
2.  Why did the girl take pictures in the room so the manager could recognize the room
3.  Yes, why did she AND her client carry drugs while doing "naughty" things

Just shows how dumb people can be.  The girls and the clients.

It was the girl, with the idiot, in the hotel room, with the drugs and the confessions.

I think there is far more to the story than what was disclosed in the article. I doubt a suspecting hotel manager tipping the police about a current guest having a post on CL would lead to immediate surveillance. The manager must have been privy to more information than the CL post and possibly observing high volumes of traffic coming and going from the room? Perhaps there were guest complaints about the aroma of marijuana smoke emanating from the room? Maybe there were some confrontations or arguments that caused guests to complain about noise? Who knows, but I believe that it was far more than the manager seeing the CL post that resulted in police surveillence and arrests.

I fully agree with this. What I thought was most interesting here was that this was not a "sting" but handled as a normal criminal activity complaint.  One officer keeping an eye on the place and then pulling a client over on the way out.  Who knows how many other clients he may have pulled over before one of them freaked and spilled the beans for him.  I think this might serve as a cautionary tale for everyone.  Pissing-off the neighbors will get you in trouble, even if you think you're really smart.  Look at this:  The girl didn't even have to screw-up. One of her clients put the finger on her.

Also, evaluate HER technique:  She had this room for two WEEKS.  I'm sorry, but in 2 weeks, if you have men visiting the room several times a day (for 10 minutes at a time) you will be noticed (by almost everyone).  For some reason, people think that hotel staff members "tune out" every guest.  Hardly.  They notice most everything going on.

Do you think this will make LE look harder at the net. You know the media is going to look at it and bring it to the spotlight. Hell sex, money, humiliating people all for the sake of ratings, this would be to good to pass up for them. Just a thought..

he was at the hotel for only TEN minutes according to the police report. My guess is to avoid a drug dealing charge the girl said he was there buying sex.
I suppose the situation is possible but it would take me longer than 10 minutes to get comfortable, get off, and get dressed again.....and if it didnt i would be sad.

I think had either party said "yes, I do want an attorney" this whole thing would have been no more than two people getting cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession.
