In Scottsdale try Orange Sky at Talking Stick resort for restaurant and lounge with a view. It also has other restaurants and lounges as well as a casino. For live jazz in Scottsdale check out The Ravenscroft.
For another option in downtown Phoenix try the Compass restaurant/lounge at the Hyatt Regency which is on the top floor. The Nash is a good place for live jazz in downtown Phoenix. Enjoy your time in Arizona.
