It is very important to do this in the correct order. First you need a recognizable figurehead as the chairman. Someone with high name recognition. Then a press release announcing the recall with the figurehead doing press conferences. The figurehead MUST NOT be the candidate to replace Joe. Anyone with a less than 100% clean reputation must be far in the background. At the same time a strong candidate with a strong law enforcement background must be ready to announce their candidacy. This cannot be a W Steven Martin type of candidate. There needs to be a deep pocket supporter willing to spend whatever it takes to get recall petitioners. And before you even ask, no it is not possible to do this with volunteers. Ask the Mechem recall committee.
Websites and talk are not nearly as important as getting your house in order.
Also remember that Joe is a VERY powerful, and a very SPITEFUL man, so retribution must be expected. Your massage parlors will be the #1 target for vice, and you most likely will lose them even if there is no prostitution going on. Ask the Newtimes reporters how Joe treats his enemies.
you're very right... we do need to get 'our house in order'. We need to know what we are doing and how we are doing it before mputting it into action. That's why it's so imperative that everyone who feels that Arpaio needs to go gets together to answer the questions, find the people and support and organize it. It can't be done by any one person. It has to be done with an organized group effort and the only way we can do that is to find each other and work together. That's why I started the Yahoo group. I have plenty of other groups and didn't need to start another but wanted to give everyone a place to come together and prepare... at least until the 'recall comittee' gets a site together.
Yes, I'm very well aware of Joe's potential for revenge on anyone who crosses him... but if we live in fear of what will happen to us if we stand up for what we want and believe in, we will never make the changes that need to be made to make our lives what we want them to be. The history of our country is filled with examples of people taking risks to defend what they believed in and fighting for rights they deserved. Where would we all be if our forefathers had said, "The king's not gonna like this and there will be hell to pay so we'd better just stay in Europe."?
I think that Joe has more to worry about than lil ol' me and my shops but if he does choose to go after me he's going to be very disappointed. My shops are very peaceful, pleasant and professional places and the posse guys will probably fall asleep on our tables while trying to entrap us!
I personally think that ol' Joe should come in for a massage and let me work all of that pent up hostility and nastiness out of him. LOL
