Besides Sugar Daddy's now Carrot Dating to Avoid Prostitution Issue

A new dating app that allows men to “cut to the chase” by wooing women with bribes is getting slammed for being sexist.

The online matchmaking site Carrot Dating lets users “dangle a carrot” like flowers, jewelry, a tank of gas or even plastic surgery to entice women to go on a first date.

The app was created by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) graduate Brandon Wade, who also founded SeekingArrangement.com, a popular sugar daddy dating website.

A press release for Carrot Dating says, “There’s only one method of manipulation that has stood the test of time: bribery. It’s a concept so simple that even animals understand — give a dog a bone, and it will obey. Give a woman a present, and she’ll…”

Gold digging is alive and well, thanks to online dating sites like SugarDaddies.com and SeekingArrangments.com.

While trading in a well-maintained body for a well-maintained lifestyle is more or less legal, a new matchmaking website by SeekingArrangments founder Brandon Wade has many wondering: Where do you draw the line between presents and prostitution? Ignoring the degrading connotation of dangling a carrot, its phallic symbolism, or the synonymous connection between rabbits, their small vibrating counterparts, and Playboy bunnies, the site still has a strong sexist undertone.

While Carrot Dating claims that both genders can apply to either user category, the website's copy, graphics, press photos, and promo video all suggest that it's predominantly the women who are putting themselves up for sale.

support of providers in America....

WTF?????

this seems to be more appropriate for the mens only page.....

as stated, just love the way you support the women in this industry here in the US....

yes, I read the entire thread.  I understand that you are simply trying to "inform" the general public about everything else that is out there; however, you are a board owner..  this information should be available on YOUR board..  I tire of reading your posts that inform the hobbying public about everything other than TER as to where to find women....

At least we do not have to read your tirades, at least on this board (I no longer know of your current newsletter as I unsubscribed years ago) about how much better the Canadians are than the Phoenician women...   While I may no longer reside in Phoenix, I find your posts to be a travesty to the local Phoenix women.

Sorry that you think info and knowledge isn't power including to know what the competition might be.

Here is my take -
Society including especially the younger generation has no issues with sex for money, bribes, or sugar daddy relationships.  These gimmicks that are quite sexist, are all because of the unique laws in the U.S. vs most of the world.  But it reflects both the willingless of zillions of women, many going to college to take advantage of the desire of men.

Until the escort community is willing to come out of the closet like gays did after Stonewall, the more honest direct approach to sex with continue to risk the rath of the conservatives and legal structure risking years in prison if felony for what culture accepts and finds way to avoid the legal issues.

Some companions might want to explore these alternatives just like they are doing in the meet people sections of Craigslist and BP not in the adult section.

One goal of mine is to stir up folks to act and take back their rights to their bodies in private consenting adult sexwork as in most of the rest of the world.  Take up and fight against the all women who sell sex need to be rescued that is such a huge risk to the community via Project Rose, the FBI joint stings etc and aggressive county attorney.

With $millions wasted to go after consenting adults vs the real abuse situations for forced by pimps etc which does occur but maybe is 5% of the ads etc, while the honest 95% faces the risk.

Over the decades many of us have tried to help organize but for good reasons both most  companions and customers are not willing to fight in various ways.

SWOP actually had very good ideas with Robin Few before her death. It was just misdirected since prime forcus was street workers which in my view is the reason their political efforts failed in both the Berkeley referendum and SF City Committee.  They almost had a huge opportunity to change the law or stop enforcement if it was only related to private sexwork.

Now a few (too few) national leaders have taken up the fight including some of old original fighters plus some new folks.   We even have attorney lined up for a legal battle but needed to raise $100k for legal fees.  We have many suggested motions to fight a prostitution charge both the vague Arizona law and of course on a Constitutional basis.

I even had a meeting last year in my home with a leader in the fight who has arranged with the lawyer that has won on other adult related issues.   But the support has been almost non existent and I'm often attacked and told should just give up the battle and let more and more companions face jail, possible years in prison on felonies and the games we have to play with sugar daddy's and now carrots that is making the Asian founder of both millions but hurts the honest legitimate sexworker and the customers that don't want to play such games.

Yes I enjoy Canada without the legal issues and games as I would most of the world, just that Canada is far more practical travel cost wise and speaks English (other than Quebec).   Most of all I enjoy the intimacy of the many Europeans in Canada that don't come from such a sexually repressive culture, and such options as nude-reverse-release adult massage places without the silly tipping and games have to play in the U.S.

My dream is someday before I die that we may have those opportunities in the U.S. which is why I stay in the battle even without much support from the community other than on the PL

If sugar daddy relationship appears to be ok under the law....maybe  providers should be offerimg some type of relationship rather than  an  hour date? Start with a meeting for coffee to find compatability before movimg forward...couldnt this be looked at as  the start of a relationship?
