TER seems to be the best resource to serve as our Consumer Reports. So many reasons to do your homework before you schedule an encounter. It's nice to be able to contact other hobbyists as well. Bet the providers would like to have a similar tool to find out more about potential new clients.

Just wonder if my experience is typical.  That is, if there is no good review history, every single time I have taken a chance it has been an unsatisfactory result.  Not always a rip off, but I would not repeat.

And for me, if the photo looks wrong or off, it has been a not good.  I think pretty much, the ad is a deception on any level, the ad was just the first deception.

Wondering out there, is my belief on this pretty much the same as all of yours?

Come on phoenix has some of the best providers. Do some research, pm another hobbyist and find out whats out there. For me i put in hours of research before i make a date with someone i've never seen before, and i stay away from BP girls with no reviews. Think with your big head......... and you'll have a good time with the smaller one....................

Unlucky is correct, I dont even look at BP.
 I do check one local board and do my research here.

Guys nowhere in is thread did he mention BP or TER, he simply just stated reviews and ads in general, Sloooow down and read all the words.

He said when he takes a chance on someone that looks like it could be a possible gamble because of the reviews and pictures it hasn't been that great. He was simply asking if  he's the only one experiencing this problem or has someone found some diamonds in the rough.

Sorry Bailey you should reread his statement. He's says there's is no good review history!!!!!!!And when he takes a chance with, no review, its unsatisfactory.
we basically just asked a question, is he looking on BP.

Jezz, Bailey is right, I wasn't specifying any particular site, there are allot of them.  Cant help but check out backpage, then I check TER and P411.  If they are not on either site, my luck with the few tries even though I "interviewed" them have not been good.

Either butt ugly, 20 years older than the pics, etc.  Big one though is eros, you'd think that they would not want their reputation down there with BP, etc.

Wasn't looking for a lecture, just dialogue.

Thanks Bailey for the reply, the rest of you, you are not adding to the content in the site.  Just saying ...

What we were saying is, if you can't find a review for that person, why take the chance. Unless you like the unexpected.

I don't see any reviews from you of the women you have discribed. Are you just walking away or are you still going through with it and not letting the rest of us know about it by not doing a review? It's a two way street, so by you not doing a review sets up the rest of the us for the same unsatisfactory meeting. So all we were saying is, if you are unsatisfied with the service you are getting, see reputable providers that have reviews so you will have your satisfactory meeting.

He's right... until everyone who experiences a bad session submits its review, this will prevail & it actually confirms to the girl that this behavior is acceptable.

Noted and agreed ... I should do better.

I keep my head down and avoid conflict.  I am afraid of retribution.

Also, if I haven't got anything good to say, don't say anything at all.  

Additionally, and this has been the case more times than not, if the girl starts to give me the Rope a Dope, I cut the meeting sort and ask her to leave.  Even if she has already ripped me off, I would just as soon terminate the encounter.

I tell you how I sometimes get myself into these situation.  I have contacted one or more girls I would like to see and they were busy, didn't respond promptly, or whatever the reason could not hook it up with my first or second choice.

This is a funny business, for sure :)

Okay so I have to ask, where do you guys look then? I know you have to give out a lot of personal info to be on some other sites, which I'm sure a lot of you steer away from that.  Where do you have the best results?
I did a trial run with Ero's this month, I'm not renewing my subscription, I'm not happy with the results

I originally started out with BP and then researched them through TER. Or read the reviews from TER and add them to favorites. As i went along i joined P411 and datecheck, which made references so much easier. My personal preferences now in order first to last P411, TER, BP, EROS. But i think the key to any successful date is research.

We do.  Many of the local boards have forums for Providers only, in which we can network & get the digs on someone.  We also contact references given for verification purposes, & in many cases, just by asking, one can obtain in-depth knowledge about a Hobbyist, if one wanted to.  Unlikely though that a guy will use a seen Provider as a ref, if he's not worthy of being seen, but it does happen occasionally.  Then, we have blacklist sites that go into detail when a guy does a Provider wrong, but I always cross-reference the complainer to make certain she's not just trying to deter other prospects of him, b/c she knows he's actually a good guy, attempting to keep him to her deluded self.  Yes, this does happen, sadly.

I'm sorry to hear that Bailey, & IMO, you may want to try it one more month before making that decision.  Yes, they are pricey, but we all know you get what you pay for & the quality of their viewers is unsurpassed to any site I'm aware of (other than here, of course!), & I advertise on 22 of them.  I do really well when I purchase a supplemental premier ad, such as posted on the AZ page this run.  But as of last month, the number of advertisers there has hit the roof with new Providers, confirming the condition of how I view our current economy, & I have found that I'm receiving less inquiries now b/c of it.  But I won't give up on them.  Plus, it helps to get in good with their sales people for receiving incentives they don't give to the public (I have two wonderful ladies there who constantly give me deals outside the base ad).  

As for the legitimacy of their ads being real, as opposed to Backpage's track record, I assume virtually no one would spend that kind of money to post an ad, if they were not legit... though I'm sure it does happen from time to time.

I might look at BP to see who might be around sometimes, but I always come back to TER for a review.  No review - or as in the case of the OP, lame reviews - I pass.  But I am a planner and like to make arrangements in advance so I do my homework first.

I've found that one of the best ways to find somebody is just to watch the new reviews here.  There are so many wonderful choices and my 'must see' list keeps getting longer and longer!

One of my all time favorites was off Craigslist years ago. Went in completely blind ended up seeing her probably on avg twice a week for the next two plus years.   She is now well reviewed but also retired as well.  She met someone that made her heart pitter pat right out of the business and rode off into the sunset.
