So, according to the article, LEO sets up an anti-human trafficking taskforce that opens a fake MP and arrests a bunch of know nothing johns. How does this stop trafficking? You think maybe you might target actually trafficked women and the organized criminal enterprises that are responsible for it? Maybe they should rename it the easy arrest/make some headlines/completely ineffectual to actually address the problem taskforce.

I guess the theory of taking away demand is what they were using as their excuse.

Meanwhile in the dangerous neighborhoods multiple people got attacked, shot, killed, etc.  People are running drug houses out of their apartments, etc.

Who cares about trafficking other than the fact that traffickers make their providers do a cbj, which is the main problem so why not just make a law mandating bbbj only.  I think that would be the best outcome.

There are real bad cases but few and real pimps may have guns that go bang vs innocent private consenting adults.  In Canada which follows a harm reduction model LE devotes their resources going after real underage and forced pimps not pretend ones.
