This is a very good time of the year to remember and honor the role of Jewish women in preserving the Hebrews during their period of enslavement under the Egyptians.
In the Gemorah, it is said that the Hebrew man did not want to have sex with their women. It is not clear why. It may have been that they did not want to father children whose life was to become a slave, as they may have lost hope in freedom.
It is said the women seeing this would flirt with their men using mirrors and entice them to have sex with them. The women believed that their descendents would someday be released from slavery.
A cynic might say that the men may have unwilling to have sex because they were too tired from working all day as slaves, having very little to eat and getting whipped, and the women wanted to have their sexual needs met and knew that tired men often need foreplay.
In any case, get out the mirrors and toys. If it wasn't for those women who had sex in the 500 years of Egyptian slavery, there wouldn't be Passover today.
(The Talmud is the "oral" interpretation of the Old testament that was not written down until about 100 AD. The previously "oral" interpretations are called the Mishna. The Gemorah is a second section of the Talmud, it consists of discussions of Mishna written around 100-300 AD. There are later sections.)
Now, if I could just arrange a threesome wih Asherah and Lilith.
