Thank you so much Sarah for sharing your wonderful thoughts.  But watch out Henry54 (who has NO reviews- but at least it's not an alias) will accuse you of posting this just to get your name out there.  But we all know that us ladies like to express our thoughts too.

Glad to see other ladies post again
(Now you know guys why some ladies won't - because of guys like Henry54.)

I too hope that now that the election is over and so many voices were heard that we can ALL move on in a positive direction.

Al Franken is behind Norm Coleman by 420 votes out of a total of 1.2 million cast.

It was a historic night. Now if would could only have defeated Joe "The Asshole Sheriff." Another day, perhaps.

Well said, Sarah!

It was so good to see you express your sentiments, and I agree! Last night's election returns formed a climax to a brutal two year campaign. Obama's words were thrilling, and I'm thrilled to see that it was worth it! I hope more and more Americans, regardless of party or race, will start to come together and realize that it is us who must change this country for the better. Thankfully we have a leader in that direction! Our freedom is such a gift! "Yes we can."

Speaking about gifts...you are one of God's gifts, as well. Hope to see you again soon!

that more of the ladies would post their true thoughts and opinions. I find it quite refreshing, and we all get to know you by your personalities, not just the pictures on your websites.

Thank you, Sarah and Misty.

Let me first say that your thoughts are well founded Sarah.  I'm not so optimistic.  Most assuredly, the World appears to be in considerable favor of the Obama election.  But I am deeply concerned about the resultant imbalance of power in DC.  Face it, this was a VERY expensive election and that concerns me.  While Obama is certainly charismatic, that's NOT at the top of my list relative to qualifications to lead this great country.

Just like this past July when I predicted gas would drop to around $2.50/gal, I now predict we'll see $5.00/gal in 2010.  Sure, they'll be a substantial emphasis on alternative energy.  But the fact remains we're a LONG way off from replacing the internal combustion engine.  Actually, we don't need to.  By 2020, we'll be producing petroleum from water.

For now, there's obviously considerable satisfaction in that we've elected a "black" president.  But this election was not about race.  Let's re-visit how we feel in a year.  Hopefully we won't be in a full fledged depression.

I'd be quite happy to further discuss this issue with you in private, Sarah!  :) :)

Ochen horoshah, Sarah....

It's been a very difficult 8 years under Bush. Our constitution has been under assault. His cronies, along with big oil and big business, have been given a free ride. Our reputation around the world suffers.

I'm confident Obama can right the ship of state. That is not to say we aren't going to have to ride some stormy high waves. But at least now we have a captain we can trust at the helm.

The scariest thing wasn't McCain. It was Palin.

Will she arise from the ashes like a Phoenix. I hope not.

Very well written.  Today was the breaking of a new dawn for this country.  The world is once again looking to America as a leader in change and a light of hope.

I second you, my God bless our leaders and our people.

Warmly,
Sam

they know that an ultra liberal president and congress will allow them to push us around.  Remember Iran during the Carter years?   Those were good times huh?
