Occasionally I read about "mixers" in reviews particularly in larger cities like LA. Are these common and are they still held? How are they announced? Thanks

3 local boards are putting it on together at a public venue  but other than that I know of no local Mixers  the people having it are very nice and have been in the valley a long time

It is  on Thursday night the 27th  and  will be vetted  by the people having it must be a provider  or hobbiest with reviews I guess

Go to the TER general board drop down window.  Click on it, then find the "Meet & Greet" board
This board is for the announcements of M&G's.  And yes in LA and Vegas m&g's are held regularly.  Also in LA they have  small "lunch" gatherings.  Matter of fact there is a Halloween M&G at the end of the month in Vegas. The events in LA and Vegas are held by well known hobbyists and escorts and you will be screened just like you were going to see a provider.  They just had a M&G in LA, there were 75 providers and 100 hobbyist in attendance. It was a very nice time.  The LA m&g's are normally held twice a year, usually on the westside, however, they have been held in the valley.  

hmmm I'm in town ont eh 27th, costume in hand for the Mixer in Vegas on the 29th . . . date in tow as well . . .
