Just remember one phrase--YMMV.  Don't assume from reading another's reviews that you'll have an identical experience.  Remember you are dealing with humans, not machines, and act accordingly.
Aa for "Agency vs. Independent," as long as whoever you are dealing with is honest and reputable, it doesn't really matter.
Personally, some of my most fun-filled experiences have been with Independents, and some of my most fun-filled experiences have been with Agency-ladies, also.  Just be sure your selection is one that is well-reviewed here for integrity, reliability, and honesty and I don't thin you can go wrong.

As Jeffrey already stated...your milage may vary. However a couple of things can be objectively stated...

1) If you are looking for an "ongoing relationship" then indies tend to have the edge. Most of the regulars who post here have one or more "ATF's" who are almost (but not exclusively indies)...

2) If you like variety then agencies offer a constant supply of "new" without the risks of trying indie after indie...

Most experienced hobbiests favor one or the other but utilize both.

While I've tended to be indie/ATF over the years my tendency over the last few years has been agency simply because of variety and logistics.

With dozens of well reviewed indies and multiple highly regarded agencies you cant really go wrong.

There are fun times to be had  with either indie
or agency ladies.  It is a YMMV world but you will increase your chances of having a great experience by checking reviews.  There a lots of  choices , the hardest thing maybe deciding where to start!  Good luck and may whoever you decide on be the first of many ATFs

I know both the Mayor modprod and JEFFREY, and they have ALWAYS given fantastic advice.  I too am from out of town and find myself in Phoenix on business, and the 2 of them, along with a couple others, have NEVER steered me wrong.

Mya gave some great advice as well.  You have some of the best giving you ideas, I would run with it.  If deciding who to see on your visit is the hardest thing you have to do out there, then it will be a fun filled trip.  Till then...
