On this Memorial Day I know we All Salute our Past and Present Soldier's

When you first see Brendan Marrocco, it's hard to think of him as very fortunate. After you talk with him, you understand exactly what he means.

We all have a lot to learn from this guy

The Troops

It is the Troops, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the Troops, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the Troops, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the Troops, not the campus organizer,
who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the Troops, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the Troops,
who salutes the flag,
who serves under the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.

God Bless the Troops

This day is especially hard for me, but I try to go out and do things so that it will take my mind off of bad things and replace them with good memories and a fun day.

I usually put out my flag, but I wish I could also visit my family's resting places. I live too far away from them. It's good to remember those who are no longer with us in physical presence.

Hugs,
Ciara
