Is it possible to obtain a hotel room without using a credit card or debit card? I am sure I am not the only guy that does NOT want the Hyatt (or other hotel) showing up on their monthly statement. Experienced hobbiests please share with me your insider secrets. Thanks.
You can also buy Visa gift cards at all Wescor malls that will be accepted anywhere visa is accepted and can be taken back to Wescor and more money can be added to them. xbanker
Can I use my Visa Gift card at hotels or car rental companies?
You can use your Visa Gift card for the final payment for either a hotel and car rental. However, some car rental companies and hotels may require a credit card to make a reservation. At check-in, hotels will put a "hold" on the estimated amount of your stay, making those funds unavailable for purchase for a period of time. You can avoid a 'hold' being placed on your gift card by checking in with a Visa credit card, and then using your Visa Gift card for final payment when you return the car or at the end of your hotel stay.
Good point Just. Hotels could be booked with any credit / debit card. Just make the final payment with a prepaid or gift Visa and avoid any unwanted statement evidence.
I was just checking out Visa Momentum card. It is a prepaid debt card that you may place up the $10,000. No statements, internet access, accepted where ever Visa is accepted. Very nice!
