The Super Bowl maybe gone but LE is still active. BP is still full of ads that just scream LE. Don't let your guard down.

What are signs that an ad could be LE?

I made a random discovery about LE's sting ads.  Be forewarned this is also a controversial topic, so if you are easily offended, don't read the rest of what I have written.

 
Here it is:  Have you ever noticed that a lot of ads say "Sorry, no AA Men"?

I've observed that LE's sting ads (all the ones I've seen before) have never said that.

So I wondered about that... If LE actually did write "No AA Men" in one of their sting ads, a criminal defense attorney and/or the ACLU would probably have a field day about why the cops are only targeting 'criminals' of only certain races, when they must treat all 'criminals' equally without regard to their race.  Therefore, an ad that says "Sorry, no AA Men" can't possibly be a LE sting ad.

I was just pointing out that AA can stand for many things.

As far as LE adds I would be asking you both. Please tell us here on this public forum how you pick out LE adds. I am sure they would love to know. I will say it again. If you have successfully figured out how to safely navigate BP please do not share that info here. If you have system that works cherish it and keep it to yourself. Not looking for a fight lover just giving my honest opinion.

I'm left scratching my head as to what you were trying to convey to me exactly, and perhaps I'm just being obtuse, but I will agree that we shouldn't be giving LE any idea as to how we individually screen ads so as to keep them from building a better mouse trap. I was just reminding the posters here that LE is still active and no one should be dropping their guard because we aren't hearing about high profile busts.    

I think that I need to elaborate on something, I have no idea how to spot LE ads.  The ones I knew about were known as such after the fact only, and you can find examples of them by doing a google search for things like "police sting backpage ads" or other words like that, then you see examples of what they look like, and they look exactly like normal ads.  They only get known as sting ads after people have already been busted, not before.  Also, in the past, when there were local news articles about the police doing a sting operation, based on the info that I could gleam from the news article, I was able to narrow down the search enough to find the exact ads on BP that they used, and those ads blended right in with all the others, although those ads were taken down really quickly after the fact.  I have also posted warnings right here on this discussion forum with links to those sting ads when I figured out which ones they were, but TER admin took down those posts for some reason.
