The I-10 Freeway interrogation is a good case study for pooners to study regarding interrogation lies and threats commonly made.

 
1.  First LE lied and said that freeway cameras record, but they merely capture video which is not recorded.
2.  Then they threatened to charge the girlfriend with "domestic terrorism" if she didn't recant a supporting alibi.  
3.  Claimed he was not a "real man" if he didn't admit the crimes.

Similar techniques used by the child prostitution stings in Scottsdale I remember calling a decoy once then she informed me she was "16" then I declined then she mentioned something like I guess you are not man enough something to that effect - seems to be a common government interrogation technique to elicit false confessions or entrapment.  

 
Also another common technique is to accuse of a greater crime to get to admit to a smaller crime.  For example in the Warren Sapp case the government accused him of rape so he would admit to prostitution and in fact produced a video of a cbj showing it was consensual prostitution - earning him a prostitution charge.  

Another technique is the opposite -- the government befriends you and tells you how hot the provider is and how the agent could understand you paying her for sex due to her being so hot and then being friendly in order to get a confession
