Only serious inquiries, please...by SHEIKA FATIMA

The Sheika has been down with a devastating case of the flu, but this fantastic weather is making me feel “spry as a young filly” who is ready to “kick up her heels” and take advantage of that great American right of freedom of speech with the wonderful people of this community.

I was hoping that some of the ladies might comment on a side of the business of which most hobbyist are unaware. It has to do with e-mails and phone calls.

I know that most of the e-mails and phone calls that the ladies receive--more often than not--turn out to be unsuccessful solicitations. They are communications that can be extremely annoying and very time consuming. They are communications that do not result in a successful business transaction.

The overwhelming majority of the calls and e-mails that the ladies receive are from people who have no real interest in procuring the services of a provider; they are from strange people who—for whatever reason—want to talk to a escort on the telephone or exchange e-mails with a prostitute. These communications are from misguided screwballs that get some kind of strange, perverse thrill from the exchange.

Ladies, please, the Sheika would like to know what percentage of your calls and e-mails are serious inquiries and what percentage are not? How much of your valuable time is taken up by such inquiries; and, what steps do agencies and indies take to hold down the number of crank calls?

I appreciate comments from both ladies and gents.

I LOVE YOU ALL,

Sheika Fatima

For me the emails and phone calls are always serious inquiries.  Occasionally the chemistry isn't there so one of us drops it.  If the attitude works, we usually work out a first date.

I would say 25% of emails results in a date, and 10% of phone calls result in one.
I don't believe the majority are not serious inquiries, but they do not result in a meeting because I am selective about who I see. Meeting screening requirements is difficult for most.

There will always be the crank callers, and the time wasting emails, but to lessen these- If I sense thats what they are, I cut off contact. Those people are looking for a reaction, and continued communication.

Been away from the boards and see that I haven't missed much. Curious as to why this topic is of any interest to you.  What's the point? I call providers just so I can breathe heavily into their ear.  On an occassion or two, I've managed to get up enough courage to say a few words and on other occassions when I have nothing better to do, I call a few of my favorite providers because I know they have nothing better to do.  I won't name any names.

Then I go and write down in my journal about how I managed to score a phone conversation with a hot lady without having to solicitate her....man, I am so cool.  I guess I am one of those strange, annoying, time consuming, misguided screwball, perverse super thrill seeker, that wishes he could send in his reviews of all his provider crank calls.

Thanks for pointing this out as I thought I was the only one.

Personally, I've turned into a little bit of a 'phone snob' just because of this issue.  I can't count the number of times I've been at the grocery store or in line at the drive-thru and gotten one of 'those' calls.  I'm pretty quick to state that I don't even entertain phone or email exchanges if they don't have references first, which usually eliminates the crackpots off the bat.

I'd say that a greater percentage of emails turn out to be serious inquiries.  Phone calls are a crapshoot, leaving my percentages at about 80% for emails and 20% for phone.

I also have a tendency to show favoritism now towards returning phone calls and/or emails with a little info in them... where you found me, what your references are... etc... as opposed to those that consist of "Hi, my name is John.  Call me at..."  (Especially if there's reason to believe there's heightened LE activity.) If it sounds fishy, I simply don't respond.  It avoids wasted time and allows me to concentrate on my return clients and/or hobbyists in good standing that have a decent sense of protocol.  :o)

But that's just my opinion...  ;o)

I have absolutely no idea why providers haven't called HIM out for posting as though he's a female provider.

are the ones that call and commence with questions re: my attire....

PLEASE!!!!!  LMAO

Seriously though, I'd say that nearly 99 % of phone calls result in zip for me.  However with email, I would have to say that nearly 85 % of the emails I recieve will result in an appointment, providing the client has a reference or two!

Sorry, dearest, I am neither a hobbyist nor a male. And, I do not post as a provider.

Oh, don’t you just relish all the mystery, all the drama and all the intrigue?!?! If you will just concentrate a little, I’m sure a fine person like yourself can figure out a variety of reason for this post…

Seriously, for some reason this post seems to have upset you and blue_iceman001. Would you two please tell us why?

PEACE,

Sheika Fatima

Some of the young people I work with absolutely adore Sponge Bob.

He is so very sincere, honest and genuine. He is a great person to emulate. It takes him awhile to figure things out, but when he does, poof, his problems just vanish and everything turns out all right.

He does the best he can with what he’s got. And, in this mish-mash of media balderdash that bombards us incessantly, day-in and day-out, old Sponge Bob Square Pants is a breath of fresh air. Yes, sireee, he is a winner in the Sheika’s book. He is one rip-roar’n well adjusted guy…

Oh, as an after thought, the Sheika is still interested in the reason why this very down to earth thread sooooo upset you. We are concerned. Please, oh please, oh please tell us why and we’ll try and make it all better.

PEACE,

Sheika Fatima
