Not a good idea

I think whatever financial arrangement a provider makes with her client, it should go no further. Providers run specials, may have grandfathered clients, special or favored clients that she elects to cut a break to, etc. In other words, she may not have the same rate for everyone and that is her choice. As Anna points out, announcing everyone's rate can only cause problems for the provider.

In light of KingCody's post below, I'm reminded of a question I recently asked:  Why don't individual TER reviews display "Donation Amount"?  In the old days, before fancy websites (back when the ASPD usenet was the place to post...do you remember what ASPD used to stand for?), reviews usually ended with something like $$ for $200.  On TER, however, the provider's "standard" donation is all that is displayed.

Realizing that it would be subject to honesty (just like the rest of the review), do you think that each reviewer should at least be asked to put a dollar amount in a box marked "Donation", and also asked, "Please explain any discounts in your review"?

Seems like fair information to request from a reviewer, don't you think?

The problem as I see it if you would disclose the amount each and every time with a review is that then you will get gentlemen asking for it in every phone or email conversation. Like me, I have rarely offered a discount, but if I have done it, it has only been for a day or so, and then I don't want gentlemen calling me 3 weeks after the review was written asking if I am running any specials or discounts or if they can get the same discount. I just feel very uncomfortable talking money overall. And don't want to get into any discussion and make the moment awkward by discussing why I can't give them the same discount. I have reasonable rates no matter what, so in my case I wouldn't like to have it next to each review. I'd rather surprise the gentleman when he shows up and giving some of the donation back (which has happened) if I happen to run a special that day or week.

I think if you need to ask for a discount then you probably should stick with someone that you are prepared to pay full price for. The discount usually isn't that large of an amount so if you don't have it save for another week or two.

me thinks you either have no 1st hand experience or are a party with a particular point of view. I "saved" over $1000 a month {of course it just got spent in more volume}. Basically its like to guys on a plane....one spent $700 the other used travelocity and spent $400....who had the better flight?

This is old news. Discounts happen. Some folks get more time. Ratings are WAY subjective (this town is is out of control with 9 and 10's). But that is life in poon valley. And we should be THANKFUL for this, not upset - because it means there are lots of options and folks wanting to do business and repeat business. If you can't read through the bs ratings, or if you know or believe donations are discounted for things like first reviews, ATF clients, etc and it irritates you, well, give it some time. It has been part of the scene since the scene existed.

The web is for ENTERTAINMENT purposes - folks will post what they want -even if you put up amounts, I doubt they would be accurate. You can't take someone to court for lying on the internet. Unless they are selling you something and nothing is sold here to speak of.

There is also the YMMV clause in this hobby. Depends on the chemistry between you, the girl, the agency, etc.. It is not a regulated business. Obviously can't be. So even discussing all of this is a waste of time.

I would suggest people start looking at how they are rating girls. This is supposed to be a public site helping lurkers as well. It does not do the guys who are buying that do not do reviews any good if the ratings are way off. They see the rack rate only anyway. ANd know the time schedule going in.

Other TER cities are more in line rating wise - I'd be curious how people think that should be fixed. I know it would upset some of the girls, but there are other girls who would finaly find some justice.

Peace,

If the review did show what the other guys are dropping i would find the reviews more useful then they currently are.
It would give certainly put the negotiation power  back in the hands of the hobbiest where it belongs.

in the hobbiest's hands. Pricing here should be on a par with Dallas or houston. We have double the price for about the same quality. What I find funny is we have local gals here who tour in Dallas for less then there "special" rate here...and even discount that rate again. So you can see em here or see em there for 60% or less of the "local" rate...

( she posted here on TER) she quoted me via email a rate 100 less than her home town website rate.  On top of that she has traveling expenses.  To me, this may mean that she has priced herself out of her own market and rather that roll back her home price...she is willing to pay travel expenses and reduce her rate.  This doesn't make much sense, but this isn't the first time I have seen it in the past few months.
