I've heard oil money is abundant and don't quite know what city to tour.

the name of the town is Williston.  keep in mind what the winters are like there!

....most abundant in Minot & Williston especially..... finding accommodations is a huge toughie I hear and I've try to play with dates myself and it's hard to book online....better luck calling the hotels directly.   Fargo and Bismarck seem to be popular spots too and can't leave out Grand Forks.

This might be a better topic for the Minnesota board actually.
