Unlike the VA which refused cards sent by children because they said Merry Christmas. Geeez.

Unlike the VA, this board (fortunately) is not a government agency.  Therefore, no need to worry about the separation of church and state on this board.  Preach on brother, we'll either listen or we won't.

Enjoy the holidays.

es, "kwanza" started by such a loving man (Maulana Karenga) and he had a special way with woman.

"A May 14, 1971, article in the Los Angeles Times described the testimony of one of the women:
"Deborah Jones, who once was given the Swahili title of an African queen, said she and Gail Davis were whipped with an electrical cord and beaten with a karate baton after being ordered to remove their clothes. She testified that a hot soldering iron was placed in Miss Davis' mouth and placed against Miss Davis' face and that one of her own big toes was tightened in a vise. Karenga, head of US, also put detergent and running hoses in their mouths, she said. They also were hit on the heads with toasters."[16]"

"In 1971, Karenga was sentenced to one to ten years in prison on counts of felonious assault and false imprisonment."

Now you know a little more about kwanza

You do realize the point of Kwanzaa isn't to worship Karenga, right?  Regardless of his egregious behavior after he started Kwanzaa, there are many people who celebrate Kwanzaa today.  Your need to conflate the holiday (and by implication the people who celebrate it) with the behavior of the guy who started is, dare I say it, not very Christian.

Me, I'm an atheist, but I'll happily wish everyone on this board a merry Christmas. And a happy belated Hanukkah, a joyous Winter Solstice, happy Kwanzaa, and whatever else you got for a winter celebration.  As long as it makes you happy, celebrates generosity, unites you with friends and family and no one gets hurt, go for it.
