Hi everyone,
We all know there has been a lot of bashing on the board lately and although I did not want to get caught up in it, because of the last post, I did and now feel the need to post this.

First of all, we are so fortunate to have this board.  Just a few years ago, there was nowhere for a guy to find out if a provider is legit, nor was there a place for providers to contact each other so easily about important matters.  Gotta love the internet.  But we do take it for granted.

Someone posted about not wanting jokes on the phx board.  I, for one, enjoy reading a good joke when I check the board each morning.  More importantly, it's nice to know that someone cares enough about our community that they post a joke in the hopes of brightening a bad day someone may be having.  I think it's a nice gesture.  About the cat fight........I can honestly tell you that the guy who posted it is very kind and I am sure he meant no harm......just a poor judgement call on what he thought some would find entertaing.  Some of you guys will be surprised to hear it but most ladies are not as competitive and catty as you would like us to be.  I believe it's something that a few guys find exciting and try to promote it by exaggerating the small number of women who are that way.  I was an athlete in high school(swim team and JV cheer squad) and I can tell you that us girls always routed for each other and were saddened when another girl did not make the cut.  We really are not as bad as some of you would like us to be.  BTW there was a great post that same day with a link to a juggler which was wonderful only it didn't get the responses of the cat fight because it was not disturbing enough.

As far as politics......yes, there is a politics board but there are certain issues that we have in Az that are not as important in say, Iowa.  So where better to exchange viewpoints that with fellow Arizonans.  Sure, it's politics so nobody ever agrees on everything with that subject but it's nice to hear the different viewpoints(even if I don't agree with them).

Another thing that happened was somebody implied that a girl did not pay taxes.  What is that all about???  How would he or anyone else for that matter know what we do with our money?  I know some guys thing we make tons of money and don't pay taxes on any of it but that is so wrong.  Although there may be some who live on the edge, most of us pay taxes, have bank accts, bills, and everything else just like the rest of you.

About the recent bust........someone said we were over reacting.  Let me tell you, one cannot be too careful in this hobby.  What I have noticed when a provider gets into trouble or has to move, it's not because she displays a sign saying "open for business" but rather a complaint from a neighbor.  This is where discretion is most important.  Long after you have left the provider's incall(often her home), she still has to live(or make her living)there.  It's when you enter and leave that the neighbors take notice......"she's got another guest...again"   is the type of attention we don't need, even if done innocently.  So if a provider leaves her door cracked open for you, just push it and go inside rather than yell "heellloooo are you there"  Duh!   or as you are outside and leaving yell, "thank you."  Those good intended gestures can spark a nosy neighbors attention so please respect her enough to enter and leave quickly and quietly.  Just as you would expect her to behave if the roles were reversed and it was your home/office.  Luckily, most guys do understand and respect this.  I don't keep your email or phone number after our contact(unless you have told me to) so I don't expect you to keep mine either......you'll always know where to find me(((smile))).  Respect goes both ways.  And  I would never call a guy if business was slow(I've been told that some girls do...tacky).  Your secret is safe with me, and with most other ladies.

As for privacy, yes, there are some providers that would not mind if you recognized and acknowledged them in a public place, but why take the risk if you don't know for sure it's ok with her.  I have to agree with the ladies that I would not want to be recognized.  The places I frequent in my personal life are off the beaten path so I would not be happy if someone posted a sighting on a publc board.  Once I was teaching a class to children at a semi-public place and someone recognized me and called out to me by my working name.  I was mortified.  When the kids asked me about it, I just said that he obviously thought I was someone else.  He thought he was being cool but I refused to ever see him after that.  There is some strange fascination that some guys have with the private lives of sex workers/dancers, etc.  It's like they feel extra special that they were able to invade a certain area that others don't know about.  Some even have their own little "sewing circle" and broadcast info about a provider as soon as they know it.  Kinda sick, but it's true.  Luckily, most guys are not like that.  We are just regular girls with irregular jobs.  We have the same lives and same day to day issues as the rest of you.

Another thing....about the guy below who referred to providers as "W"s.......it was most disrespectful.  OMG imagine what would happen if it was reversed and a provider referred to a guy in a term different than the euphamism "hobbiest."  She would be attacked and her name would be dirt.  Remember, we're all in the same boat and when the waves get a bit rough, we only have each other to guide us through.

Finally, I love what I do!  I am fortunate that I have met a great group of guys, many of whom I consider to be my friends.  And I have met some wonderful ladies who are beautiful both inside and out.  We are all so lucky that we have each other and this board whether it be to share a joke, vent about an issue, or get answers or opinions.  There are things in this life that are bigger than all of us that we should be more concerned about.  Let's get back to having fun!

Yep eye two dew likes a good yoke every now and then, mostly now and knot then cause if aye gotta wait til then ....dat cood bee a loooooong time.

Politics....I wave my RIGHT WING in agreement.

TAXES ...It is not my or any one elses F&*%*$# business if you or anyone else does or does not pay taxes.

That's why I like you!  I spent 4 lovely years in your state(RU alumnus).  Maybe Ciara and I should make a trip to see you Joisey boys!  I miss Seaside and the great nude beach at Sandy Hook!

And a velvet lined “rant” it was.  If you’ve spent more than a few days reading this board will know Roxanne is one of the most considerate posters here.  Even amidst her venting and retort you can hear a implied apology.  If anyone has earned the right of a meltdown I think you have.  Apologize if you think you must but as ranting goes, this sound more like reason to me.

I found myself agreeing with everthing in this "rant"

I am fairly new to this board but it feels like there is a lot of hostility going around. In this sub-culture IMHO there is an implicit trust between provider and hobbiest that must be maintained in order to ensure discretion and safety for all concerned. It would be nice if nasty personal attacks were minimized because otherwise its just "us" vs. "them" and the purpose of this board is lost..

Thanks for your post, Rozanne.  Even though I didn't have major problem with the public post about me, I completely understand everyone else's preference and think that if I were on the other side of things (a provider, myself) I would probably feel the way that you and many others do.  This is a very private business and should be kept that way.  This is a very public board and things should be thought about before voiced, even though the whole point of a "discussion board" is to discuss things.  We must remember what kind of business we are in and that our buiness should be kept private, even on a public board.

Are you going to imply that the income you receive via your profession is taxable and on your W 2  ?   If other people like Ciara wants to comment on where my tax money goes, (illegals) we have a right to comment back.  Don't post your politics here so we don't have to comment.
