to re-inact a few battles with the British.

Hoping that Yankee Doodle can keep it up, and with the girls be handy.

Enjoy and celebrate the day folks!!!  For some reason they don't seem to celebrate the Fourth here.

Time to fly the red, white and blue, eat hot dogs and apple pie, hum the Stars and Stipes Forever,  and watch fireworks. Celebrate Independence Day as our freedoms are worth celebrating.  Opinions may vary on our course  but yet we still have the right to an opinion.  Our day of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Also good day to enjoy the happiness of pursuit!
Be safe all and have a great 4th.

Yes, celebrate the day. But remember...

I and others did not die to protect you from each other, but to protect you from government.

I and others did not die to protect you from differing opinions or having your feelings hurt, but to protect you from the government imposing its opinion onto you

Express your opinions and be thankful that governmenet will not censor you, but do not expect your fellow citizens to not disagree with you and to voice a differing opinion. That is freedom of speech, not freedom from having your feelings hurt or freedom to not have a contrary opinion thrust in your face.

With these rights, so dearly bought, comes responsibility. You now live in an advanced democracy, I wish you would start demonstrating advanced responsibilitiy.

I weep at what has become of the rights we so dearly bought.

(sorry for the thread hijack)

A Patriot.

Here Here!  Well said Patriot!

I wonder how many people have read the "Patriot Act"?

The American Civil Liberties Union is a site everyone should stay updated with!!!

Might want to amend the the reading list and include; Thoughts on Government, The Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Debates in the Federal Convention of 1787, The U.S. Constitution, The Federalist Papers, the Anti-Federalist Papers, Bill of Rights and Mad Magazine.

I dare you to run thru Waterloo station, wearing a yankee doodle hat, yelling "No Taxation Without Representation" or "Death to King George". God we loved saying those over and over, brings back memories.

Have fun my ex-pat friend, the British are a wonderful lot...

stupid, or damn, or f**king American.

I've to a few tube stations in London, where you best is to run like hell, anytime day or night.

I don't know about yelling "Death to King George", but if you yelled "Death to Tony Blair", you might gain alot of friends, and not just members of the "loyal opposition"!!!

Actually, the people here are generally, and genuinely quite nice to live, work, and play with.
