I going to see if they can help me find out who send that BS email yesterday and have them exposed? I understand that this could be a criminal offense and I’m still pissed about someone pulling shit like this.
Gmail won't do anything. They say in the FAQ that because of the volume of complaints they'd get if they did accept such complaints, they won't.
I know because I've been getting BS email from someone at a Gmail addy myself. This person is obviously a scammer because they've cloned my IP address, and the emails they are sending show up with my IP attached.
If you can, check what IP the emails are from.
I would suggest that, either way, you contact whoever your internet provider is. I'm through Cox, and I spoke with their Tech Support and told them what had happened. They asked me to forward the emails to their Phishing/Fraud Dept so they could investigate.
It might be tough finding assistance from Google on this matter. I suggest you start with an inquiry in the Google Gmail Forum. Good luck....it's truly despicable what transpired
