I've listened to several theories about why August and September are slower months for hobbying.  One theory is that many hobbyists have financial obligations related to school, so the money's a little tighter.  Then there's the Dog Days of Summer theory...too hot/humid to go out and get even sweatier!

So, The Gallop Pole is doing a little market research and wants to know, two things:

How many provider visits do you average per month?

In which months do you participate the least, and why?

Depending on my mood (and the ladies' rate) I could do this hobby at least twice a month..Sometimes more if she has a special..

Mine will fluctuate....averaged out I'd say 1 per week (not including international binge "mongering"). I think summer is an issue logistically for me. I rarely if ever have any economic issues but work dictates time constraints. So I probably am dormant 1-2 months a year. Travel 1-2 months a year and catch up in between.

One issue for some is the alternative possibilities. I know many local hobbiests who travel for hobbying purposes both domestically and internationally. So I think that has an effect as well....

TRavel , availability of who i want to see and time constraints all determine the frequency of visits. I see some type of provider once a week.

For me, it's more business related. I try to keep my hobbying as discreet as possible and thus I do it when I'm traveling alone on road trips. Over the past year, I've averaged 1/month which is pretty good considering my constraints. Christmas is the time I tend to speed up on my hobbying as I like to have a 'special' Christmas present for myself.

I get bored in all honesty. During the summer i would rather do other things than deal with the usual excuses.

having my own place and the kids livin with me( not married) makes it difficult at times.thier all college students and in amd out constantly while between semesters .i like to entertain the ladies( cook them dinner,treat them like the queens they are..do a two-three hr appointment..get to know)..i do go to a no tell once and awile..hobby about once a month..

My visits can vary quite a bit but with an average of around  5 a month.  Limiting steps are work, lack of free time and my own  mood and energy. Then there is the intangible of who is going to perk my interest. Not really much pattern as far as busy or slow months. Jan and Feb seem to be slow play months as work is  busy. Interesting, that right now, deciding on the next new lady has slowed me down.

It's mostly due to how I'm feeling. Have had a lot of problems with aching joints (no, not that one) and other intermittent pains. Once a month is my "goal".

once a week????, dude, thats $15,000 a year.  Even if you are rich, how do you hide that from your wife?

and keep things in perspective. My hobby budget is basically "pin money" to me.

would suggest that I have no pattern. Whenever Mr. Happy gets the urge he seems to go for it, Summer or Winter; Day or Night; Rain or Shine (rain - what rain in AZ?). All kidding aside, the biggest limitation on my play seems to be work loads and schedules along with which of my favorite ladies are available at any points in time.
