It looks like someone is trying to pick up where Daveslist left off when he retired his site.

The Mayors Office has "no comment" until all the facts of this case are known...

From what I can find... AZ411.net was started in Aug 2006 and the domain name will expire Aug 2007. It is hosted through GoDaddy and the webmaster has opted to keep personal info out of the public eye. So unless you email the webmaster and ask for their name, you're not gonna find it anywhere.

As for the content. There are fewer than 50 messages on the entire system and nothing has been updated since last Jan. Can't really say this site is a contender for "hot" site of the year!

But my thoughts are much the same as Neversoft's. May have been an attempt to copy at one time but owners probably realized there is more to developing a site than mearly copying a more established domain and moved on to easier pickings.
