you'd never see a review of a Craiglist girl.

Can someone please tell me what's wrong with the web address listed below.  I've submitted twice in a review and both times it came back rejected with the reason being "bad web address".

http://www.escort.sexcia.com/escorts/post_24342.html

for some reason that site is rejected. I it happen to me several times.

That happened to me befor, I submitted a problem report and it was fixed within 30 min.

you'd never see a review of a Craiglist girl.

I have no problem admitting if I am wrong.  But instead of saying that why not give your opinion as to why and help solve this.

there was a girl who's website kept going down....it took three attempts before the powers to be at TER accepted my review.......I still have a dozen in the que rejected for not enought details....who can figure.....

keep trying....

ps....TER badge on a Review doesn't matter....good website does

unless I actually have one!  It improves my chances of being right.  I do think the Jazz32 angle sounds credible, however.

OC post was just a clue to help us all try and figure out this ongoing problem

I am not upset, nor trying to slam anyone.  Also, I am NOT hiding behind any alias.  I just stated that if I was wrong then state what is right.  Simple.   But I get told to "chill" - WHY?

It is that attitude towards the gals - to be told to "chill" that has caused many of them to leave the board or just simply stop posting.

The board I thought was for everyone to share and express their opinions.  Is that not true anymore?

Misty, if you are lucky enough to know OC; you know that if he feels he has a relevent opinion - he is going to offer it, lol.

Your response to OC was snide. He only stated that the missing TER logo was not the reason and offered his reasoning as to why. If you really wanted to ask OC for his opinion; your response could have been....

"OK, that makes sense. Do you have any theories on what the problem is"?

But, instead you chose  to tell OC to not post responses discrediting your opinion; but to instead only post if he had an opinion himself.

"I have no problem admitting if I am wrong. But instead of saying that why not give your opinion as to why and help solve this"

So, your most recent post tries to change the subject and play victim. Guess what, in an intelligent discussion people offer opinions and expect to receive responses agreeing (or disagreeing) with their opinion. It is not personal, it is what discussion and sharing of ideas is all about.

Modprod's comment was not directed at providers or the sharing of opinions, but rather at your snide post. Furthermore, he explained why he felt you were out of line. In at least this case, I humbly (ok, maybe not so humbly) suggest it is you that needs to remember how to play well with others.

Do you plan on playing victim whenever somebody disagrees with you? If so, I can start filtering your posts out now (that is a rhetorical question, btw).

I did not state that.
I just said I would admit if I was wrong and that if I was then it should be stated as to what was right.  Simply put.

NOT BEING SNIDE - RUDE - whatever.  Just offered my opinion - NOT UNDER AN ALIAS either and said ok if I was wrong please state what is right.

Whatever!  You have had run of the board  and your response to getting called out for being snide just illustrates the point

and the BS here that have run gals off totally or kept them from posting here.  I am sorry if you all took it wrong - I WAS NOT BEING snide.  I was just asking if I was wrong, I would admit it and asked what was the "right" answer.

I stated my opinion.  I am an indy so of course I get BS for standing up and stating my opinion.

Again I was NOT being SNIDE - just stated MY OPINION.

Sorry if you all got offended - there was no offense or anything intended EXCEPT MY OPINION.

Am I not entitled to that?

it's a duck.  A couple people told you that your tone was snide.  I would have used the word 'harsh'.  It doesn't matter, though, because you don't seem to care what anyone else thinks of your writing.  As long as you think it's ok, it's ok.  Apparently the readers of your communication don't matter in your world.

Two things come to mind.  First, this is not really a board for airing concerns, per se.  For the providers, it's a place to market yourselves, and for the hobbyists, its a place to exchange/request information.  Toward the former, you've now succeeded in painting yourself as having a confrontational personality (at least in this exchange.)  How does that make business sense?  Is that good marketing?

Second, contrary to your suggestion, there has not been a loss of many providers participating on this board.  Just the opposite.  Many hobbyists have left, feeling the board is run by a few providers.  If you look back a year, you'll find a much greater variety of hobbyists participating back then, and many more people reading posts.

Just counting the people on the Top Ten posters list for the past 3 months, 563 posts came from just 6 providers, 306 from hobbyists!

If you want to see another interesting change, go back to 4/15/06 and look at the number of reads posts were getting back then.  1000+ was not unusual.

Something has changed, and caused fewer people to participate (or even come to read) here.  It would be wise for those who rely on this place for their livelihood to be careful not to kill the goose that laid the golden egg.  (Two poultry references in one post!)

You are "entitled" to say whatever TER and Dingus allow you to say, but this is not the town square, and just because you "can" say something doesn't mean you should (either in your own best interests, or that of the marketplace.)

There is a reviews/comments link!

In recent months, the review screeners have paid particular attention to whether or not the the web site listed in the review is as potential TER competitor.  It seems that if the link has reviews, or the possiblility of posting reviewsis automatically bad.  I discovered this when one of my reviews a few months ago was rejected.  I asked why?  I was told that since the site listed had "reviews" in the URL, it was a "bad site".  I then pointed ou that there are no reviews on that site, and none for the lady in question.  The review was later posted.

Because sexcia now has a review database, however small, it is now a competitor to TER, and review links to sexcia are not allowed.

I don't have an answer and to add insult to injury I had a review posted earlier this week referencing the sexcia site.

Another option for you is to re-submit the review with one of her other web ads such as:

well, not that this has anything to do with it,but my security software says that this site might breach browser security.

For anyone interested, the review (with the same web link) finally got approved.  I guess you have to re-submit things a billion times to get them though.

That's too bad they can't just put it though the first time.  It would have been more valuable for Emily to have the review up sooner because she really needed some quick cash and some people were questioning her authenticity.  Oh, well.  I tried.
