Just curious, but how do you tell your ATF that you won't be seeing her anymore?  Or do you just fade away?  To the providers - would you want to know why a long time regular stops seeing you?

Although, you never need to answer to anyone other than youself, it would be a nice thing to let your lady know that you won't be coming back to see her for one reason or another. I've had a few people drop off my radar through the years, and have wondered if they were ok, the wife found out, financial situation has changed or any number of reasons. I usually hear from them again only to find out they've been really busy or have moved, but it's always nice to know that they are doing well and are ok.

Sometimes when I don't hear from regulars I get worried that they are sick, or something happened. I never feel comfortable sending an e-mail because one never knows if the SO is on it already, and is looking for ammo.

so I wonder if they're OK if it's been awhile. I've had some 'disappear' for awhile and come back explaining that they relocated, got involved with someone or just had money problems. If they were single I usually figured they've met someone but if they're married I wonder if there's a problem. It was always good to know that they were alright. When you get to know someone as well as we ladies do in this business they become friends to many of us. It's only natural to care about them.

Absolutely. I would get worried if one of my regulars stopped seeing me. I would not email or call because I would think that his wife found out but I would be worried sick if I did not hear from him after a while.

Every hobbyist should keep a ATF and always remember to treat them kindly and remember them on those special days.  That's what makes them ATF's.

I agree with all the replies, I think we all get a special attachement to our regular clients, they become much more than just a client, they become a friend. The more you see someone the more intimate it gets, the more they get to know you and you her. You may not have to give all the specifics of why you won't be coming back to see her, but at least let her know you are ok but life has become complicated and you won't be visiting anymore. At least she will have the peace of mind that she didn't do anything to offend you or worry that something has happend to you.
Life presents us all with bridges to cross, cross them on a kind note and it leaves the pathway open to return again if the need arises. Burn bridges and it's alot of work to rebuild them when you need to cross over again.
