TER rules state one ad per week.

Every provider should be treated equally (touring or local) and most already have reviews.  No real need to shill.  If you need to shout with excitement to the roof-tops, do it under her weekly ad.

but you'll need to seperate your "shills" into catagories....

1st) alot of "mini's" are for gals with little or no exposure and/or reviews. Although the majority are for agency gals that simply reflects the underlying numbers...mona for example got rave "mini's" when she came out as will all quality newcomers....

2nd) "white knight" shills. These are blatent bones thrown by a handful of guys who see almost no one new and occasionally post syrupy BS regarding there "true love".....

Personally I have no problem with either type. Why do you care, since you posted under an alias I'd guess your either a provider who isnt getting any love on the BBS (go cultivate a few white knights:):) or a white knight yourself. I'd say 95% of bbs is finew with the mini's....read em or dont read em....give them what value you will.

nobody has to read it. I'm amazed at how often people want to limit folks saying something nice about some one else.

What's the harm in keeping your comments to the listed providers advertising thread.  This way, everyone is treated equally.

I have no agenda, but to suggest options.

Your posting under an alias, so you have an agenda. you want any credibility on this subject...step up under your "real" TER handle. Anything unfair or improper is handled by dingus pretty quickly....so nothing going on here is "unfair".

A shill is a shill, doesn't matter the reason.

1) new girl gets introduced on the board, shills go under her ad to give credibility.

2) established girl gets shills placed under her ad.

I'll undertake a good arguement with anyone. However, it's pretty obvious you really dont have anything to actually say....do you.

What you want to do is limit what others have to say. So why dont you go start your own board so you can write your own TOS agreement.

If you feel attacked, I'm sorry.  This post was not meant for any one individual.

How does it effect you personally if you were to be held to this standard?  Will a nice post about a provider under her ad give her any less business?

My feeling is it will take the power away from those interested in gaining favors for their shills.

Rather than taking this as a discussion to render a better board, you would prefer I leave and create my own board rather than suggest options that could possibly create a more loving/caring, fair discussion board here.

post weekly advertisements.

So, under your guidlines, how does one post a mini-review for a lady that only infrequently posts here?

I guess I don't see what playing field you are trying to level. But, this would not be the first (nor the last) time I'm just not following...

It's about the many many ads for the Agencies...the 7 day rule seems not to apply for them...The ads are posted by schillers day in and day out.

TER rules are that a hobbyies/shiller is not to post ads and ads with links...

Discussion board is not for reviews either...

It appears to me that the vast majority of the posts are highlighting the LADY, whether she is an independent or an agency girl. If she is an agency girl, her agency affiliation most times gets mentioned, as it should, so guys know where to look for information on her. I personally don't see anything wrong or unfair with that practice. Lord knows I participate in that, highlighting new arrivals to our community or pointing to solid or outstanding experiences that it has been my pleasure to have with a lady, regardless of how she elects to conduct business.

I don't see the harm in any number of gentlemen coming to the board to highlight a new arrival or to offer thanks or supportive comments about ANY lady working in our community.

It appears to me that you seem to be more fixated on the post happening to mention an agency affiliation as contrasted with the positive comments about the experience with the LADY.

Were we to strictly follow your suggestion about a once a week posting - an independent lady can call attention to herself in that once a week posting and an AGENCY can call attention to ITSELF in their posting. Seems to me that the individual ladies working for that agency get a little short changed in the promotion department since there are multiple girls working for each agency. That doesn't seem terribly balanced to me at all.

As I probably didn't state too well, if there are no ad's for a lady from within 7 days, feel free to post your happiness with her.  If she's posted an ad within 7 days, post under her thread.

It's unscrupulous what goes on with some.  I have no vested interest other than an observation and a possible solution or at least some talk as such.

Those that cry foul at such a benign topic to most, must have something to lose.

Anyone else care to complain about not being able to shill and clog up the board for their own agenda?

One post per week per agency?  I'm sorry, there has to be a solution to this as well.  Each individual lady working for an agency should be able to express her availability as an individual.

Although, the issue isn't about agency posts.

This is about shilling for favors and special rates.  Personally, I don't want any hobbyist to have such power either way over me.  If he can do good by saying good, what happens if he oversteps his boundaries?  I've seen retaliation posts quite often when a shiller is upset.

I wouldn't think most normal individuals would need or want that type of attention from such a manipulative person.  Again, if shilling wasn't allowed so blatantly, we'd see alot less problems in the community as a whole.

If we follow your suggestion, as I understand it, guys would be restricted to making their comments about a lady only under her (or her agency's) opening thread.

Simple math and human nature quickly points to a problem IMHO.

Let's say that an indy lady opens her weekly thread and 5 gentlemen who have met her recently elect to post under it. I have 6 threads to read.

An agency does that same weekly posting. There are also 5 guys who would like to comment about a girl they met recently. Since most of the agencies have 15 or more ladies working for them, there could be, theoretically, some 75 sub threads to wade through. Do you really think anyone is going to take the time to do that? Not me for sure. I have limited brain power and I will take the information from the board in short increments, thank you.

Besides, I can just hear the screams now coming from those who would then feel that the "extra long" agency treads are still somehow "unfair".

it only takes 1-2 days for a thread to be on the 2nd page.  If that is the case either no one would post because it wouldn't be read and therefore of no real value to anyone!

This is just more blatent "antiagency" crap from a few who cant handle the open market. I'm very very pro indie....but you get very few quality indies (new that is) compared to the agencies...

I'm pro hobbiest, not pro agency....as far as i'm concerned the alias posters here are very agenda specific.....

If by "shilling" you mean posting positive comments about a Provider, I do it whenever I feel the need.  When I have had a particularly good experience, I would like to share that experience with other like-minded individuals.  I'm not likely to call my mother and tell her, but I do sometimes feel the need to share my good fortune with someone, and TER seems to me to be the perfect place to do that.

If you, or anyone else, would prefer not to read about how wonderful some Provider was for me, you are under no obligation to read my post.  I always make it clear in the title of my threads when I am going to speak well of someone, so it's not as though you'll click it thinking it might have been something you wanted to read.

In a way, what we're talking about is censorship. You're suggesting that I talk about Providers only at certain prescribed times and in certain prescribed ways.  While I would certainly not post something intended to denounce a Provider, (simply saying nothing about her sometimes sends a message of its own) I see no reason why it hurts anyone for me to shout from the rooftops about how good one was. Why would you wish to limit my speech?

Posting a positive “mini-review” is not saying any other Provider is bad.  I'm simply saying that this particular one is very good.  I fail to see how that hurts anyone.

I have my favorites.  I’m sure everyone else does as well.  I don’t know the Provider who began this thread, but whomever you are, I’m sure you are the favorite of some other hobbyist(s).  He is (or they are) welcome to post all the good things they would like about you, and I may well read them and determine that you are someone I might like to see.  If it helps your business, I’m happy for you.  If my post helps the business of one of the Providers who has been kind enough to spend some time with me, I’m happy for her, too.

This sort of reminds me of a lawsuit a woman once filed against a Fire Department that wouldn’t let her become a firefighter because she wasn’t strong enough to carry a man from a burning building.  I might as well sue the Diamondbacks for not letting me play infield.  Everyone should be treated equally, shouldn’t they?  Why should Craig Counsell make all that money, and not me?  The answer, of course, is obvious.  Craig Counsell is better than I am.

I’m not saying this Provider is anything but excellent.  I have no way of knowing that.  But, if you’re unhappy that other Providers have more positive posts than you do, I’m sorry.  They have obviously done things to make Hobbyists who have had the pleasure of their company want to post them.  You might wish to do so, too.

If you want to work for the Fire Department, work out so you’re strong enough to carry me from the burning building.

To me, it’s that simple.
