As Published on The Reviewers Board
I have experienced a fair amount of difficulty getting “Submitted Reviews” approved in a timely manner of late. The most recent example took eight days to receive a “Rejection” and another eight days after that to receive final approval.
That particular one was rejected because:
“Your review was denied for lack of information in the details section. Your
review is too short in length and/or lacks detail in general.”
I take writing Reviews very seriously and having submitted lots of Reviews, my Reviews are NEVER short and NEVER lack details. The same Review that was rejected was re-submitted and published AFTER I complained via E-mail.
I have seen (especially of late) so many sloppy, poorly written and short Reviews being published; that I am quite flabbergasted when I receive a Rejection for this reason.
Another example of a recent rejection was:
“The website that was included in your review is not a direct link. TER requires that websites submitted in reviews link directly to a page that lists the provider's name and contact information.”
That was incorrect and it took a couple of E-mails and many days to get it fixed and the Review finally published. Meanwhile, I have noticed recently, that several Reviews (for Phoenix in particular) have been published with references to non-existent Websites or Ads.
Who is reading our Reviews? Who is doing the checking on their validity?
Am I wrong or has the quality and timeliness of Published Reviews suffered of late?
Yeah, my last review took about a week to get published. I also had a problem report that took about 10 days. I don't know the inner workings of TER, but this doesn't seem like a very quick response. Especially considering the fact that sometimes a provider will be in town for a limited time. I thought they strived to to get reviews published w/in 48 hours.
Regarding rejected reviews, I've had my issues with those too but it seems they have not been kicking my reviews back over the last several months
