Not that anyone here would do anything illegal or untoward, but in AZ, if you ask someone whether they're a member of law enforcement, there's no actual law that says they have to admit it.

For example, I just watched a movie (which inspired this thread) where a girl asks a gentleman "Are you a cop?  You have to tell me if you are." Pure fiction.  Again, just supplying some interesting information.  

Isn't that interesting? I'm so goddamn interesting.  It's hell to be such an interesting person.  I mean, I bet it would be.

Here's some other 411 so many don't realize.  Cops can also get naked!  Cops can touch your boob!  A cop can allow you to touch his genitals and STILL arrest you!  

In many jurisdictions courts have upheld convictions where all these things have occurred.   Good people- what is the Law?  The law is what the Judge says it is!  That's the bottom line.  If he finds you guilty- you can appeal BUT you better find applicable case law that will back up your appeal or you lose.  

Spend a little time learning the law- it will pay off!

I realize that if Law Enforcement wasn't allowed to lie they wouldn't be able to infiltrate drug cartels or terrorist organizations but consensual pay for play hardly rates in the same category. In fact, if it must be illegal, it should be classified as a public nuisance and not a sex crime. To subject innocent people to DNA testing is not warranted for a non violent act such as this.

Are not valid & usually never hold up in court, so when anyone asks me are you a cop?

I usually laugh because it is an uneducated question.  For this great example,  I always advise the providers to have a lawyer in ever city you visit because AZ laws are not the same as SD, or LV!

Correct me if I'm wrong please, but I don't believe there is a law saying you can't lie to local PD.  I know there is a Fed law saying you can't lie to the FBI.  

Yes, the question, "are you a cop?" is kind of funny.   I once said on the phone, "well, yes I am but I'm a corrupt cop so it's all good, no worries."   Of course, she hung up on me.  

And maybe some people in nursing homes that have forgotten.
