All of the things that have gone wrong in my hobby career were the result of two things:

I didn't know
or
I didn't listen

If I don't know, it's on me to get in the know. If I don't wanna go get educated, I deserve what happens.

If I don't listen, I only have myself to blame.

Though to be fair, back in olden times, pre-internet, pre-Dave and his list, pre-hobbyists talking and meeting and sharing, there really wasn't anyone to listen TO. You collected your own little black book of hits and misses and paid your own tuition to get a PhD in Hobbyology.

So, sheepskin in hand, I find I make entirely NEW missteps now, though much less often, cause they really hurt. But I digress...

I honestly believe one has to be completely brain dead to have SO many online resources at one's fingertips to find quality providers, and STILL have these problems.

It's shooting fish in a barrel nowadays-virtually zero risk and virtually 100 percent chance of fun.

TOFTT! That's totally the male urge for trailblazing and needing something new and different, I suspect. Being the one who finds The Next Big Thing.

Manifest Destiny-go West young man...LOL!

This isn't 1990 folks-no excuses.

Know. Listen.

Hobby using BOTH heads-it's more fun in the long run anyway.

JJ28 took the hit and passed along valuable info to no avail........but even the first review should have been a hint not a GFE, didn't even let him touch her.

That really pisses me off when I see someone getting ripped off.

If they'd done the research instead of thinking with their little head, they wouldn't have been ripped off. One should always be leery of someone who shows up an hour or two after initial contact, imo. All the signs were there, if you read the reviews, all the guys had to do was some research but alas, they did not.

I had someone today who showed up, stayed three minutes and said he didn't like my conversational abilities. When we first started corresponding, he asked what he could expect. I asked him to read my reviews to which he replied he doesn't check reviews because he doesn't believe them. I asked him if he does research before he sees people and he said no. If he'd read my reviews, he'd have known that my conversation is written about, my sense of humor is written about and he could have decided to go elsewhere if he wasn't into conversation. Despite that, I let him know in emails long before he ever booked that I'm known for my conversation and sense of humor. He asked me if I rode motorcycles today and I jokingly laughed and said, "Do I look like I ride bikes?" and followed up with, "No, I'm too small, I'd blow right off and I've never found one that was low enough for me to actually be able to get off of it." Apparently that rubbed him wrong and he said I was short and our personalities didn't mesh which he thought was probable from my short emails. My emails were thorough but not short and we exchanged probably 8 of them in the past month. I feel bad that he dashed out unhappy, but he offered no constructive criticism and went running out the door before I could even give him his money back. He told me to keep it which I thought was ludicrous. I'd have gladly given it back but he ran out as though I might chase him with a knife.

Guys, do your research. Reviews are there for YOUR benefit so that you can read the patterns and see what a lady is pretty much like. If she's a rip off, don't be the 5th guy to write a review, check the previous reviews before getting upsold and ripped off. If you don't have a sense of humor, check to make sure the lady you want to see doesn't have one either that way you don't waste an afternoon driving to her incall only to leave 3 minutes later. If what you want is a wam, bam, thank you ma'am experience, check and make sure the lady you're booking with isn't a GFE, if you want a GFE, check to make sure the lady takes the time to talk to you, get to know you a little, let you get to know her, hold hands, cuddle, kiss, smile and make eye contact, etc. If you want a PSE, book a porn star. Etc. etc. etc.

Sorry, rant over.

Megan

Megan, I've never met you personally, but we've exchanged a few e-mails, and have spoken a couple of times on the the phone, and have long been a fan of your posts here.  I find it hard to believe that anyone could find fault with your beauty, wit or intellect, but I guess there is the odd idiot out there.
