We talk too much... if you look at places that are shut down or no longer around etc... you will notice a trend. They start to do lots of advertisment, throw allot of m&g's private parties etc, and ruffle peoples feathers.DD's parties were open to the public ..they bought properties and lived "large", Goddess temple was all over bp, and on eros, and even did interviews.... WHO does interviews ..commmmmmonnnn now people !

This "community" is so filled with big talkers and people whom like to be seen and hobby... we foget about what we do and who we are.
I am just to blame , 'I use to attend MG's etc... but do not anymore... not that if done right they r bad, just to public in a small community. and as we have seen time and time again when the chips roll.....

I read Dave's post on the le sting of the "goddess group", and not that I wanted to visit, but it made me reflect on when desert divas got busted ( and yes my name was on the list of 6000+) and it seems to me Phoenix has really sucked since then.

LA seems to have it so good where they basically let the businesses run without the same level of interference we have here.

From what I hear the cops are crooked and aim to bust groups because they can get more money from them over some single Indy girl.

I know there are a bunch of local Indy girls and I hope you all are staying safe and doing well.

Check my reviews I hobby in many of the western cities, I find Pheonix to have some of the best indies around and at great donation rates.  I'll admit I'm not into K girls, but maybe the population has something to do with it. 30 mill in So. Ca and 4 mill in Maricopa County. Maybe it's just simple supply and demand at work.   And the prices in LA other than Kgirls and the standard  $250 rate are just ridiculous in So Cal and Vegas for that matter.   Take a look at the Phoenix TER top 100 plenty of new ladies  entering the scene. If you catch them early enough, their rates are very reasonable.  Then they get so busy they raise their rates. But even after raising their rates they're still reasonable.

Having been an advocate since 1990's, spoken before City Council, public hearings, met with head of vice etc, the reason is we have lots of conservative religious groups both Christian and Mormon that result in making these folks happy to see enforcement of our morality laws.

The problem is the law - I have had extensive discussions with Tracey owner etc and this may be the opportunity for a Lawrence vs Texas Supreme court case like almost used but then not in the Madam who killeed herself after conviction.   I have one of her attorney's great brief on the Constitutional issues.

The problem is of course all the victims now 33 indicted and probably more waves based on evidence found just like DD.

Arraignments won't be till Sept 14th.  Most trying raise $5000 bail to get released.

I am updating and lots of interaction on my other place.   The gals need our support and public media about how much this kind of action costs, police, court resources, public defenders probably for some or expensive .. VERY Expensive lawyers as in the case of most of the DD 100 that were ultimately arrested and pled to felonies in the two waves.

Yeah but Dave is right. If the public knew how much money is spent... our tax dollars in particular, and we are decreasing funds for education and health care, wouldn't a majority of the Phx voters opt for legalizing this facet of life that will never go away?

I suggest there is no risk to M&Gs if done right like Rose did and I often cosponsored (Toys for Tots etc).

DD had a M&G problem because of the open solicitation.   I was extreme and open (I have the old police report).  Male and female vice cops were directly solicited.  

I miss the MG's and as a social event with no solicitation I do not believe they pose any risk.

The Temple did many things better than DD.  BUT they are outspoken and they believe in the healing power of sexuality.  I do to, and totally support although  I have no interest in Hindu Tantra stuff but cultures with more open available sexuality have been shown to be far less violent and many positive aspects of sexwork world wide (not children, street or forced).

And of course as I keep saying the U.S. is almost the only country in the world where in private consenting adults have the legal issues at least outcall.  Incall varies by country such as only 1-2 gals per location to huge public brothels totally legal in many places.  That is why I enjoyed Canada so much for years the attitudes are just so different when you have the individual rights we lack sexwise in the U.S.

Actually it's been great for the independents who were able to raise their rates 200% and not have a middle man to share with during the "agency era". After the bust they maintained the same rates and rant about how terrible DD & the other agencies  were while laughing their way to the bank.

With the current bust, it's easy to say that the political and legal environment in Phx is one that is conducive to 'all work/no play', but it's not just about the law here.

Yes, in many instances, LE will turn a blind eye to what is most often considered a 'victimless crime', but in the case of election years and hot-shot politicos (don't forget our illustrious Sheriff Joe) they get their orders from higher powers. Agencies aren't safe simply because AZ politicians (and their minions) follow the money. Nine times outta ten. And the indy girls just don't make enough off of the local market to be a lucrative bust.

In other cases, it's sincerely a lack of business. Except for the locals, this state shuts down completely during the summer months. Winter visitors can't leave quick enough and tourists know better than to plan a visit between May and September.

Touring girls that used to make Phx a favorite pit-stop are avoiding the pits nowadays, knowing that there's very little business to be had and that LE is hot to make busts whenever possible. Why stop here when they can prebook appointments in a far more desirable destination?

It's a bassackwards state we live in. You can carry a gun into a bar and intimidate the shit outta people; but behind closed doors, you can't compensate someone for making you feel good. I don't get it... but that's just how it works in a "stink town".

When done correctly, M&G's are not only safe, but an excellent way to meet prospective play partners.

Yeah I wondered about that as well. Does Phx have a population that will support enough playtime? I know the Phx guys have a reputation for being cheap, less than 200 reasons for going out.  But I figure there is enough because I see about the same 30-40 providers advertising in city vibe for the past few years.

Most other cities are just as bad.  Tough economy has killed our fun times.

I’ve been hobbying here on TER since 2003 and been active in AZ since the 70’s.

I also know a lot of the local guys that play here and spend a lot of $$$ doing so.

Maybe they just haven’t gotten around to some of the newer providers but give them a chance, they will.

Sure times are tough now but we do do our best to keep our ladies happy.

On price, a girl should charge what she feels her time is worth. Some are able to do so at high rates.
