aQuestion to hobbyists; Should a provider be able to advertise here with no TER profile?

I understand that some providers want to stay UTR, and that some are just starting out. However, this is a review board.   My contention...if you are starting out with no reviews, you need to supply a profile about yourself and services.  If you are established, but want your privacy, you shouldn't be able to advertise on this site.  Just my opinion.  Your thoughts?

None.

I don't concern myself with restructuring this site. If I did, I would send suggestions to those that operate the site.

Deprived, not of site though

Interesting insight.  Perhaps I would send my sentiments to those that can affect change if I thought more felt the same as I did.  I appreciate you taking time to respond.

...about whether she's someone he's interested in seeing if there's no menu or detailed reviews for her. Personally, I'd just pass on someone like that. There are so many others to choose from. However, a Provider's profile is established not by her, but by the first guy who submits a review on her. As far as I know, a Provider can't refuse to have a profile here. She can choose to voluntarily delist from TER if she doesn't want to have a profile and would rather remain a mystery, but then she wouldn't be able to advertise or post on the discussion board.

I have no issue with TER rules for posting, which are spelled out in the link below. In a nutshell in order to advertise on the TER, regional ad board, a provider  ad must have a link to a personal web site, or, a ter review profile or an ad on an escort mall.  Having TOFTT a number of times over the years usually off a BP ad and nothing else, it was my responsibility to do my research. If I couldn't get answers to my questions I simply moved on, if all my questions were sufficiently answered  than I proceeded booking a date. Easy Peasy

And as far as a provider with a no review policy, I don't have an issue with that either, I usually avoid providers with a no review policy.

I'd have no issue with an advertisement, but without reviews, it would carry the same weight as a BPage ad.  I'd have to do some serious verification before considering to TOFTT.   Given the environment out there right now, I'd be concerned about the unknown/untested/non-reviewed.
Privacy and advertising really are not compatible, and if a provider has a steady book of clients that is comfortable, then more power to her.

What if you prefer not to kiss & tell because YMMV, or you have an SO who you do not wish to find out all your dirty business?

I do see your point this is a review board.

Reviews are a catch-22. On one hand...its good for hobbyist to have some assurance that they are not walking into a bait and switch, or worse.
However, for some pvdrs, having detailed accounts of something so intimate recorded on the Internet; it makes you more vulnerable on so many levels.  And the rating system can become an obsession where a pvdr feels she must compromise her comfort level to increase her business.  I personally started in this "business" in Europe, where Courtesans and companionship for a certain caliber of clientele is done through personal introductions, and strictly word of mouth.  The women are highly screened, and their background, education, looks, manners are all vetted to gain access.  It was based more on compatibility and long-term arrangements.  Also,  the men were able to get exactly what they wanted and were rarely disappointed because they were able to go through one trusted individual and say I want "x,y,z".  It was more elegant and fluid for all parties.  Returning to the states, I initially detested having reviews published; particularly with the emphasis on "the dirty details", rather than the general experience of her companionship.
Perhaps the history and tradition of courtesans  (who often were bestowed with land, wealth, political power, and were well respected by high sociesy) that has existed in Europe for centuries allows for it to continue.

American culture evolved as a rejection of monarchy and society, thus, the moral climate is vastly different.  Ads, reviews, marketing, ect. form the context of the modern courtesan.  Point being...a pvdr is entitled to choose every aspect of her business and how she runs it.  Including not having reviews.

You make a very good point, which I found also to be true in my travels in Europe

Can't wait to come back..snowstorms are fun for maybe an hour.
Then, at some point, you have to leave the house, and it becomes incredibly annoying.

Shall we start an American saloon?  Invitation - only.  Black tie for the men, l'agent provocateur for the women.  Champagne and scotch.  Politics, gossip, literature..oh..and a little t & a:))

YMMV is definitely a good point.  I have a special friend that wants to see me weekly (at least every other is OTC so it's not just $$) for multiple hours, because of what we've developed over time together.  Her client stories are quite interesting to say the least.

Not quite sure about the SO angle.  While I may have one phone that is predominantly work, email accounts are totally separate and no way to link the two.  I'm willing to bet I'm not the only boat in that ocean.

But it is definitely is a double-edged sword to say the least! Especially considering the publicity pig of a sheriff that Sun City keeps electing...
