Kindly allow me to introduce myself.  My name is RichardT.  I am 39 years old (40 next month).  I stand about 5' 6" and weigh about 145.  I do not smoke or drink or use drugs.  I am manager of a real estate management firm in Atlantic City, NJ.  My AAS degree is from Atlantic Community College (1984) and my BA degree is from Stockton State College (1987) in Accounting.  I have a great confession to make and a greater apology to ask.  To start, I have never worn our country's uniform in any of the armed services.  I thought about it, but did not make the commitment when offered the chance after college.  I laud each and every one of those who have worn it and continue to do so, and to falsely identify myself as one of your brothers is indeed a terrible thing.  I cannot make any excuses for this except that I fell head over heels over someone (to be named later) and wanted to express myself to her as something so amazing that she would do anything for me.  I should have known better, and at the advice of a friend I have sought counseling for whatever it is that caused this.  Hey, there's lots of successful accountants and RE Managers, but not too many military heroes.  I wanted to stand out in her eyes, and the truth is what I really am may have done exactly that.  The madness that came over me made me dig deep to try to hurt her when I felt that she had rejected me.  Yes, the alter-ego of "Rodgers" was indeed me.  I wanted to slam her because I felt wronged, and all I did was damage myself, probably irreparably.  I put the moderators through plenty of crap with all of this, and hopefully they accept my apology and will consider not what I truly deserve but what I ask:  another chance to make it right without being banned.  I asked many friends to come on board and help me in perpetrating this lie, for they had been lied to, as well.  I apologize to them, as well.  This was way out of bounds, but I ask your forgiveness.  No harm was meant, but it seems I did much of it.  I save my final commentary for one Veronica Monroe.  I put you through a lot over the past couple of weeks, and all to satisfy my need to see you and be with you.  I allowed myself to fall madly for you, to feel that I needed to put myself in a special place for you.  That's not your fault, only that I felt that I wanted to be a special guy that you would think of when you are alone in your thoughts, and who better than a hero who stands up for his country in battle?  Can you accept my apology and find it within yourself to forgive me and allow me another chance?  I stand before all for your judgment, and I hope that it will be lenient.  Thank you.

RichardT

or at least your umteenth version of "the truth"

After all of this, how can we believe ANYTHING you say?

This used to be a discussion board about hobbying, but you (RichardT aka Rodgers aka Sybil) have turned it into a looney bin.

Enough is Enough!!!! Please just go away and leave the rest of us alone.

Glad to hear you are going to look into the reasons for your actions in the past few days/weeks.  It was very clear from your postings to many of us who have worn the Uniform of one of the Armed Services that you most likely had not served.  While, I don't condone what you did, I can understand that service in our Nation's Military does indeed place one in a very special category -- Serving in the Armed Forces clearly demonstrats a committment for service to our Nation and the ideals upon which this country was founded.  It also places us in a very highly regarded position by many of our Nation's citizens.  ... However, I do remember what it was like to wear a Uniform in our Nation's capital during the Viet Nam War. ... It was not well received -- in fact those working "downtown" wore civilian clothing during that period in our history.

As one who has served, I appreciate your strong patriotism and desire to have been affiliated with the Military.  May the good lord look over you as you travel the path/s of life.

RichardT needs a pep talk and slap from George Patton.  Is he trying to put the Richard in Richard Gere with his falling in love with a provider routine?
