Some of you have been alluding to the "fact" that another site is preferable to this one.

That site has weak reviews, a sorry  pathetic data base, and almost no discussion that is worthwhile. If some of you   "nickde wannabes" can't get your acts together, then I'm embarrassed for you. You know who you are.

You are correct Fuzz Man. That place is more like a soap opera then a hobby board. Beep beep, you gotta laugh. There is very little substance there.

That was the one I was referring to.  "Dog" has been  irrelevant forever. If it was a horse they'd shoot it.

C'mon Fuzzy, you actually think the reviews on this board are accurate? Then how come so many providers ask to be taken off of this site?
There are so many bs reviews on here, you would be a rich man if you had a buck for every fake one.
There are a number of gents here, who's reviews I view as being truthful. But the one time reviewers giving 10 & 10's?
I'm not saying which board is best, and which is worst, but this one is far from the top.

I like the pictorial icons one can adopt with the username, but otherwise a Sadsack site.

I'm a pretty quiet hobbyist on TER but I have to admit the level of negativity on this site recently is cause for concern.  It seesm there a few bad apples spoiling it for everyone.

"BFE" was actually interesting when it was an amateur site with, in that 04 Red sox way, "a bunch of idiots" asking question in an amazed way.  It never had, and still doesn't have, the usefulness or sophistication of TER.  What it does have now is a few professional wanna be hobbyists that actually believe that there is a template, which they then believe they are entitled to set, for a what a good provider is, a good session is, a good price is, a good looking provider is, and good hobbyist behavior is.  

I actually agree with you about the avatars (THEY ARE NOT ICONS, HOW DARE YOU?).  I actually go to the site for the avatars.

Most any person involved in the Hobby that has been around the block a few times knows what board is good for what purpose. To see some of the posts that have been made lately with all the finger pointing just makes me think how juvenile people can be at times.

I do have to point out though that this site is the only one that will send you emails such as this:

with the reviews you can avoid a lot of disappointment... not foolproof....

I agree with that Bizz, but for the most part, I tend to rely on the reviews of a handful of respected gents' reviews. Don't worry, you're included, LOL

Each board has it's own "flavor" and - in my experience - the same guys belongs to most of them, some using the same handles, some not.

TER Philly board is mostly for the...Philly area, there is hardly any activity for New Jersey.

New Jersey is a big State and the hobby community is HUGE, the market is plentiful of $$$ for the providers who are willing to set shop in any of the major NJ areas = NNJ, CNJ and SNJ.

The guys from all areas of NJ asked, many times, for TER to create a board just for them. It didn't happen and made NJ hobbyists frustrated because they either had to check the Philly or NYC board for their needs.

The BGFE board is couple years old and it was created primarily to fill the New Jersey void...reason they are growing and getting very popular.

New Jersey community has been ignored and BGFE appeared just in the right time to supply the demand for a more detailed NJ coverage.

I bet if TER create a New Jersey Board, many people will flock to post and advertise.

Because of the nature of what we do, our community should be united instead of attacking or slinging mud to each other.

In general, TER has many more reviews than Bestgfe, however, as a discussion board, I find the Bestgfe board much better as a discussion board than this discussion board.

have tried others but keep coming back, what's that tell ya. And by the way, every BOARD has its own flavor, Bettys' right.
